    Hey everyone! So as of right today we're officially 4 months out from the premiere of The Force Awakens! That might seem like a long while yet, but as we're approaching the end of summer I think the time is going to fly by; we're not only approaching the big marketing push for the movie, we've also got school starting as well as the beginning of the holiday season (I'm including Halloween).

    Anyway, @WookieeMonster and I got talking and we both thought it would be a good idea to start a meet-up thread for any members that may want to meet up to see the movie! 4 months out isn't that bad to plan, is it? Now obviously we're an eclectic group from all over the world, so this is what I suggest: If you would like to organize a meet-up in your area, please post below with any details you wish to include; if you would like to join a specific meet-up, please express your interest by either tagging the person who started it or PMing them directly.

    This is probably going to get a little messy, and we might not get many responses yet (after all, 4 months is still 4 months), but if we do this right it could be a very useful tool for our community!!

    Here's the first suggestion! I live in Michigan and would love to meet up with any members going to see the movie in my neck of the woods!

    I'm in Northern Michigan, so I'll be driving down to see it in a proper theater. I'm willing to drive out of state, like Northern Ohio or Indiana, and I'd reeaaally like to see it in IMAX. Anyone feel like meeting up or have any suggestions for a good theater? PM me directly if so!!

    This is a really neat idea.

    So. First thing first - who lives near me? I'm in St. Louis, MO (USA). If anyone is nearby, perhaps respond to this thread but, as @Luuke22, suggested, tag me so I know you've responded. If there is anyone in my neck of the woods (which is, admittedly, somewhat doubtful), then we can get some arrangements going.

    WHAT: Star Wars: The Force Awakens DC Midnight Premiere Party
    WHERE: The Alamo Drafthouse One Loudoun
    WHEN: December 17 - 6 pm

    Here are some awesome things I'm working on securing for this event:

    • Local 501st Garrison in Attendance
    • Electronic Arts Star Wars Showcase - We only "officially" know of Battlefront, but I'm hoping EA will be there to have demos of their latest Star Wars titles and perhaps hold a tournament.
    • Fantasy Flight Game Star Wars Showcase - If you aren't familiar with Fantasy Flight Game's excellent Star Wars tabletop properties, this will be a great chance to demo some of their games.
    • And much more!

    I think it does. me and some of my friends are trying to get into the special IMAX/Audio blast one. Have to see it at it's best!
