Honestly im surprised we didnt already have a thread on this. :D I was pretty late jumping on the bandwagon for TWD. After watching a few episodes of the first season I got pretty much hooked and finished all 5 seasons in a month. Its a great show!

this thread is for talking about the show, so be sure to use spoiler tags if you go into plot detail.

The Walking Dead...Yes! @Darth Lexor Kai I just found this thread. TWD is my favorite property outside of Star Wars. I've read all the comics thus far, and have kept up with the show since its premiere. Season 6 is fantastic so far! Carol is a beast...Morgan is a Ninja Turtle (albeit a ridiculously merciful one)...and Rick is better than ever. This last one though...man...

    Glenn! No!!!!!!!!!!! Stupid Nicolas...
I read a theory online that talked about the fact that right before Glenn and Nick get on the dumpster, you hear two clicks from what seems to be Nick's gun (as Glenn was already putting his gun up and drawing his knife at this time) signifying he is out of ammo (I went back and watched this scene and can confirm the audible "out of ammo" clicks). He then draws his own knife and begins slashing before climbing the dumpster with Glenn. Then he starts wigging out, and blows his brains out, causing Glenn to fall with him... but where did the bullet come from if he was out of ammo? I didn't see him reload. And why does Glenn get splattered if he shot himself in the side of the head? And why did Glenn even have to go down with him? A lot doesn't add up here. The theory is that Nick is losing it and hallucinates or is imagining it. While I hope they don't go that route, it does make sense given the evidence. Another theory is that Nick landed on top of Glenn and the walkers are actually munching on him while Glenn lies there in shock, but he eventually is able to slip away somehow. Either way, I don't think Glenn is actually dead, whichever route they go. The show has strayed from the source material several times before, and I'm cool with that (it keeps me guessing), but this was a massive deviation from the comic. As a reader, I was in shock with this last episode.

@Kyle - join the thread...I'm leaving our previous conversation. :)

I noticed the same thing... it was a bit odd. a hallucination would explain it. I haven't read any of the comic books but I too was shocked that Glenn went out like that. If he is dead then how will Maggie carry on? He's one of my favorite characters and he's on my list of people I would want to have one my team in the Zombie apocalypse. I was screaming at the TV when I saw that final scene. I hope they have a clever explanation for all this.

I think @Kyle had a really great point about Rick being the most evil of the group. He's killed more than once when he really didn't have to. The Last scene of the show when hes in the Winnebago and kills those people outside.. he probably could have saved them or at least scared them away without killing them. that was a shocker too.

What 3 characters would you have on your team?

    mine would be

    Glenn
    Michonne
    Carol

The people Rick killed were the same ones Morgan let go last week. They had to go.

    As for my team...
    TV Show:
    1. Michonne
    2. Carol
    3. Abraham

    Comic:
    1. Jesus
    2. Michonne
    3. Andrea

check under the spoiler tags for my answer.

I bet he is alive! but I wont be able to watch the most recent episode until it comes out on the AMC online thing. I loved Glenn. hes one of my favorite characters on the show... even if he let that a-- hole off the hook after he tried to get the jump on him.

I'm going to put a spoiler tag on this b/c Lex hasn't seen this episode yet. Maybe?
["Spoiler"]It's hard to say. At first I'm thinking YES. YES. YES. Glenn is alive. Then I listen to the voice and I think it doesn't really sound like him. I mean it could be another group or another individual in need of help. I also read a quote by Norman Reedus saying that wasn't Glenn on the radio. We'll see in due time.

I read that Norman Reedus interview as well. However, make note that he also lied about the season 5 finale as well, so I wouldn't put any trust in his statements, as they may be purposeful attempts to misdirect. I agree though that it didn't really sound like Glenn. Either way, there is no way Glenn is dead. If you are a comic reader, you know what I mean. He has yet to be introduced to Lucille.

I need to go back and listen again. But I was sure last night that the voice was Morgan. But I'm not seeing that anywhere else? I just assumed it was Morgan giving them a heads up about the moat of zombies waiting for them back home.

The group in this episode appear to be a different group from the Wolves. I didn't notice any "W" markings on their foreheads. I have been thinking that the Wolves were the show's take on the Saviors, but now I'm thinking that this new group is the legitimate Savior group. Who else would they be kneeling to if not Negan? :) I can't wait to see where this plot thread takes us.

I haven't read any of the comics but did read that Negan will appear toward the latter half of this season. So by not reading the comics I was thinking that this "Wade" person or his leader was Negan?

that was one of the better episodes for this season. I hope they pick up the pace just a little bit after this. way better than the last 2 weeks of filler episodes

We know now who it was on the radio. Not the best mid season finale but it does open a few questions. Is this gonna be another Glenn find Maggie storyline?

I think they should of gotten a really big star to be Savoir#1 at the beginning and then marketed the crap out of it like when
Lucy Lawless was on Agents of SHIELD when they made a big deal out of it at comic-con etc.

    but that's just me :)

    i found the pacing with
the girl and kid's death kind of underwhelming..
was handled better in the comic

    again, at least for me

another near death with Glen? that's kind of lame, especially if they stick to the comics

the total black background during the montage of brutality I found distracting, although the montage itself has to be one of the most gruesome things ever put on tv

i thought the episode was -ok-
i have a low opinion of the show overall anyway but I'm told I'm too hard on it.. but it IS my opinion which i am entitled to.
found the episode to fall in the -watchable- category

some rare episodes i think are great. this i rate -watchable-

one thing that continues to annoy me is the universal 'same-ness' of the zombie outfits

I am currently watching this episode again.:) I'll watch each one 2 or 3 times each week but I found it to be one of the better midseason premiers.

I was really starting to like Jessie but in the world of TWD it's not a good idea to get attached to a character, especially not to a main character. The kid, Sam, he had to go. Even if he went with Gabriel and Judith they'd be in same boat as their group.

I haven't read the comics but heard at least this episode followed them.
