For me this would be hard to swallow. Many things seemed off. It seemed like Luke both didn't want to be found and wanted to be found when the time was right.

I thought Snoke was all fickle and stuff

 

NO Lando! I know he was asked at SWCO but he could be just not telling us the truth (like Abrams "Khan is not in the film")

 

The worst thing to me would be is Rey turning to the dark side. I would like it better if she did "balance" the force the way that Luke did but better.

For me it would be if Snoke or Kylo Ren somehow destroyed Yoda, OB1 and Anakin's force ghosts.

The exception to this would be if Anakin had to give up his ghost status to save Luke from Snoke destroying him. One last use of the Force in real world but at cost of being one with the Force.

I could live with Anakin ghost being destroyed through an act sacrifice, further solidifying Anakin's return to the light and Redemption. If Kylo witness that, he might even return to the light.

Anakin could save his Son and Grandson in one act of sacrifice.

 

Things that come to my mind (just realistic/semi-realistic stuff):
- Luke's death
- Kylo's death
- Blatant TESB mirroring
- No fight scene for Luke (or a lackluster one)
- Luke not leaving Ahch-To
- Zero Knights of Ren
- No green lightsaber

I guess I could live with the bottom three (if it makes at least some sense in the film), but I would be disappointed nonetheless.

 

The worst thing that could happen are all of the Snoke, Rey, Reylo theories I keep hearing. Lol. They're neat ideas, don't get me wrong, and imaginative. I just hope they throw in some unexpected surprises.

 

Id have to say Im going in open minded. Cant say there is one thing specific content wise that will make it BAD........but like Bad acting. Having the story rushed. More stuff along those lines.

 

• Rey being a skywalker doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me and it would require an inordinate amount of explaining that i really don't care about. i think tlj is gonna focus on rey making her own path, and not one predestined by blood. plus we're already following a skywalker, and i think whatever character arc ben's gonna get will require a more nuanced understanding of the sides of the force than 'light' and 'dark.'
• We know leia is gonna die and i REALLY hope we're not gonna get any posthumous cgi abominations for scenes they didn't film with her. those make my teeth itch and i find them in poor taste.
  
• I'm sick of the death stars. please for the love of god tell me they're not trying to make another sun-powered super weapon.
  
• I have a lot of questions about the logistics of luke's map and i really hope they're covered, i'm not gonna list them now but let it be know I Am Confused
• We have a cast of entirely different characters with unique motivations compared to tesb. i don't have an issue with tlj having some of the same themes (a focus on character development) or having parallels to tesb, but they should get new material. There's a difference between borrowing themes and purposely telling the same story to play it safe

Yeah, agreed, Kylos redemption and reylo would be pretty tough to take.

...but...you know....anakin...and younglings...and force ghost...I guess it's happened before...

And I don't think the force cares about Han Solo as much as I do

• Rey not being Luke or Leia's daughter
• No appearance by Hayden Christensen/Anakin's Force ghost
• No appearance by the Force ghosts of Obi-Wan Kenobi and/or Yoda
• Luke being revealed as Snoke and/or a dark-sider
• No prequel references (I know we had "Balance in the Force", "Clone army", "Sith" in The Force Awakens, but I want more prequel references like a mentioning of Padme by Luke or Leia at some point and/or appearances by Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor)
• No mentioning of Lor San Tekka
• No little hints to Snoke's backstory if not the entire reveal of who he is

If my worst fears are confirmed and its TESB 2.0. It would confirm to me that this new trilogy is indeed just a homage of the original trilogy with a few new things sprinkled in to placate nostalgia. For me, TFA felt as if it didn't have much of a unique voice and was more about brand identity. I can give it a pass because Disney obviously needed to recoup their money from the buyout of the franchise so making the first movie in their new trilogy a replay of things already once said to get fans back on-board was the easiest way for them to do that. But since earning their money back, there's no reason to do it again - especially in view of the promises that its 'different.'

It might also prove to be really effective if TLJ is indeed a radically different film. Right now, everyone is expecting familiar plot beats to TESB thanks to TFA echoing ANH and mentally preparing us for a familiar ride. If TLJ pulls the rug from under our feet and goes off in a completely unexpected direction its impact might feel even more shocking. But so far...a Rebel vs Imperial battle with bigger, meaner looking AT-AT's on a snow-like planet has me a teeny bit worried. I'll remain optimistic till I see the film though.

• "Rey, I am your father" (ok with Luke being her father just don't want the reveal to be an obvious carbon copy of Vader's reveal)
• No luke wielding a light saber

Reylo is really the only unforgivable sin. The others I would be open to if done well and if it serves the story well. Reylo would just be too unbearable for me.

A main portagonist like Luke doing something completely out of character just to shock audiences. And I have a bad feeling that this migth even happen :/

It becomes too independent of the trilogy. Daisy said it can stand on its own, but I would like some things from TFA tied into it before they venture into the new stuff.

 

Pretty much this.

I just don't want them to waste the potential of any of the characters in this trilogy—new or old, for example, having Luke stay on Ahch-To and not giving him a proper fight scene (or a weak one). I also hope that whatever happens with Leia's character will bring us some sort of closure (for both Carrie and Leia), or at least set us up for a satisfying end to the character in Episode IX.

And I'd be pretty disappointed if they killed off any of the main characters (aside from Leia, just for some closure, like I said above).

 

How exactly does Rey-walker make "not a whole lot of sence" and "were already folowing Skywalker" when KR is Skywalker by DNA only & nothing Skywalker like? If u dont mind me asking?
