Things you want t see from the Sequel Trilogy

• Leia and Ben are reunited (and not in a bad way)
• Chewbacca gets more kickass moments like that bridge blow-out scene
• Phasma gets to be awesome and maybe even turncoats
• Hux gets kicked in the teeth (literally). and i want Finn to do the kicking.
• Luke reminds us that the best badassery is self-control and the moral high ground.
• No one gets sacrificed (seriously: Han is way more than enough ~ no more dead heroes!)

Rey getting her hand cut off. I'm not kidding. If they want her to be the perfect hero, then in her second movie she MUST lose a hand. No special treatment for female heros. I'd love to see Kathleen Kennedy actually have her Mary Sue face some adversity for more than 10 minutes.

i'm about 98.7% certain she won't win if she goes up against Kylo Ren again.

 

They've already made the character so powerful and skillful, I honestly think she could take Smea-I mean Snoke and Kylo Ren at the same time (there's a sentence that will likely also appear in some weirdos fam fiction very soon) and defeat both of them after a day of training with Luke.

 

why mire in cynicism? basic standard narrative storytelling tells us she's going to fail big in the next film.

 

I think that's a bit too optimistic .

 

I take it that this is apart from things that we *expect* to get from the sequel trilogy, like Rey's backstory.

I know we're going to see more Luke, but it would be great if we saw him as more than just the Yoda figure. Would like to actually see Rey draw him out of hiding and become more of a figure in the greater story itself.

At least a cameo by Lando. Doesn't need to be larger than the Ackbar role in TFA.

I do echo the desire to see Rey go through some more personal struggles, given that this is the second act, but I do think that's going to happen.

More Poe Dameron. (well, I expect to see this too, but it needs to be emphasized).

More Phasma.

 

I'd like to see a flirtation between Rey and Poe but PLAYFULLY. I also can never get enough of Lando since his character is so classic. I don't think we will see the extent of Rey's background in VIII but I could see her having a flashback to her younger days on Jakku, sort of like "LOST" .

 

There are many things I would love to see in the sequels so here's a few:

1-New worlds that don't look like none we have already seen.

2-New aliens and droids that look great and get enough camera time like those of the OT.

3-Seeing old ships return. It was a real bummer just seeing X-Wings and Tie Fighters in TFA so I'd love to see some old classics like the Y-Wing, A-Wing and Tie Interceptors plus some new fighters.

4-Bounty hunters, bounty hunters and more bounty hunters!

5-Hutts or other bad guys who are a pain to both the Resistance and the First Order.

6-A plot that will have tons of surprises and not be predictable. Everything points to such obvious things as Rey being Luke's daughter, Finn being related to Lando, Kylo Ren redemption plot ect so it would be awesome to have something like the ESB ''I am your father'' line pop up from somebody else's mouth and not from Luke's.

7-Some familiar background characters that will let us know who's alive now that the EU is no longer canon. Back in the days we new many things like Bossk, Fett, Bib Fortuna, Tessek and some others having survived the Sarlacc battle but now that the EU is no more we really don't know anything about how things turned out. Is every single comic and novel character no more or will Disney add a few back to the saga? We really don't know so it would be really cool to see guys like Bossk, Durge, Thrawn, Dash Rendar or other favorites appear even if they are just used as background characters.

8-No more OT character deaths!!!

What I'd really like (I miss from The PR) is more romance. I'm not talking about stalker/sociopathic romance, but something meaningful...imagine HIMYM mixed with Michael GIachino's score from LOST...i'M Not fully sure what characters I would like, but it would be nice ti take a break from the cheesy comedy of TFA and the potential darkness of VIII/IX to have something that makes us tear up that's not death and destruction.

 

Kennedy won't let her Mary Sue fail.

Luke is toast in the next one. That will be the adversity Rey has to face.

Though based on what we got in TFA, Luke will probably be easily captured in Foggy planet by Kylo Ren, passed off to a bounty hunter named Bingo Fett and taken to the junk merchant from TFA for the price of 300 portions.

 

aw c'mon, Luke's worth at least 350.

i dunno. i think Rey's gonna get whupped bad by Kylo Ren in the next one and Finn and/or Luke will have to save her. she's no match for him in top form and next time they fight, he's not going to play with her. she'll be over-confident and probably clouded by revenge.

 

Things I would like to experience in the ST, hmm...

I would like to see the ST tie into the OT and PT in a myriad of meaningful ways. The ST should in themselves and of thier own brilluance draw in new and old SW fans alike, but it would be clever in terms of story excellence and marketing to make fans want to go back and explore the other films to gain further understanding of the ST. I want it to be popular and make money, so they keep expanding the SW universe indefinitely.

Ideally, I want to experience layers of meaning and significance in all aspects of the story. I want enough plot devices to feel satisfied, and yet I want enough ambiguity to have room to employ my own imagination and inteligence to find my own meaningful interpretations, and so I can also have fun debating the finer details of nuance for a long time to come.

It would be nice to see a more analogue view of the force, in juxtaposition with the digital good and bad of the Jedi and Sith philosophies. In effect, an evolution and broadening of the Force mythology.

And of course I want epic duels, space battles, cool spaceships, beautiful land/space scapes and characters I feel strongly about.

What I want - surprises, drama, great character development

What I don't want - Force ghosts, flashbacks, gratuitous appearances of OT characters for no reason (e.g., Lando)
