It's a dishonest opinion from the author because she's using her bias against the loss of the EU to inform her position on Lucasfilm's decision to fire Lord and Miller.

There is no straight line. I've read a lot of her articles and she has a bias towards the EU. So her opinion is not coming from an honest place. She cherrypicks yet refuses to acknowledge the very creative and outside the box choices being made in Rebels and the comic books not to mention making its first two new Star Wars films centered around female heroes.

I'm not looking for her to agree or even change her position, but, her argunent is basically boiled down to EU = Good Canon = Bad so therefore Lucasfilm is harming Star Wars by not taking risks.

They aren't the same argument. The real question should have been "What is Star Wars: is Lucasfilm redefining what it's limits are in terms of thinking outside the box?"

I don't think anywhere I claimed she or you had no rights. Everyone has a right to an opinion even if it's used dishonestly to further a separate agenda (not saying you are doing this).

If I said I hate Jar Jar and therefore Star Wars sucks because they are going to be using CGI aliens again, that's using an opinion to dishonestly further an agenda. I'm using my bias against Jar Jar to inform how I view a broader point.

PS I don't hate Jar Jar.
