SPECULATION Thoughts on Lukes possible padawans

    So I know there has been a rumor going around recently that, post-RotJ, Luke establishes some sort of Jedi Academy, only to have his students/allies massacred. If these characters as individuals aren't going to be important past the events of their deaths, I think it would be neat-o to use these characters for fan service and also to symbolically kill off the old Expanded Universe and any characters they are sure they won't use. So his "padawans" would be named Kyle Katarn, Mara Jade, Jaden Korr, Corran Horn, maybe a Jacen/Jaina, though obviously not as a Solo. Hell they could even throw in a Bastila or Revan if they wanted to officially void all Old Republic-era canon.

    Its a stretch but hey, it could be cool. or extremely bad. I mean, I loved the old EU for the most part, and was up to date on pretty much everything published post-Endor, so I'd be sad to see them go but I think it would almost be worse to just discard these characters and make it so they never existed in the first place.

    I'm not sure many fans would take it that way. I'd see that as a big "FU" to the old EU fans. Sweeping them aside is better than having them mercilessly slaughtered.

    I think that, by establishing "Legends", Disney had plans in mind for the POST-ROTJ...

    I sincerely think... and that's only my opinion.... There was no Padawan, nor Jedi sensitive individual beside Luke after ROTJ... hence... The Force went to sleep...

    The Force Awakens when Luke finally meets his first padawan and having the chance to complete his own "arc".

    Luke in the eu period wasted a lot of his youth was cautious about restarting the jedi order, he should plenty of padawans by the time of TFA, I just hope they are prepared for whats instore, I don't want to see another situation similar to order 66.
