    Abrams insists on film
    Johnson insists on film

meaing excluding spinoffs this is OUR LAST CHANCE TO SEE A STAR WARS FILM SHOT IN 3D

LET OUR DEMANDS BE KNOWN WE DEMAND AT LEAST ONE STAR WARS MOVIE SHOT IN 3D

STAR WARS WAS MADE FOR THIS IT BREAKS MY HEART KNOWING 2/3 OF THE TRILOGY ARE ALREADY CONFIRMED CONVERTED 3D

First, I doubt that IX will be the last Star Wars film, just the last in this trilogy. Second, I would much rather they shoot on film than pander to the 3D crowd. I've seen a few decent 3D flicks, I also know the difference between shooting in 3D and converting in post, but I'm more than satisfied seeing my beloved blockbusters in 2D. Plus, film just looks so much better than digital.

I avoid the 3D movies and always opt for the 2D, so I'm not concerned one way or another really.

Yeah, I don't see many movies in 3D anyway, and I'd rather have something shot on film for my home media than something shot in 3D for the theater. Seeing a movie in the theater is cool the first time around, expensive and tedious after that; home media is where it's at for me.

So you're assuming that the main episodes will end at 9? I'm doubtful of that. We'll probably get a few years of just spin-offs, then another trilogy.

I want to say High Frame Rate 3D but I don't want it to look different than the other 6 movies.

The best 3d movies I've seen I forgot I was watching a 3d movie because it was so well done. at that point though, whats the point? If I can't tell, I might as well spend $5 less dollars on the ticket. If I can tell, its in the way.
