Actually, @lealt is right--in Aftermath: Empire's End, there's a rumor that Luke was present for Ben's birth. But it's not clear if it's true, and if it is, he was only there briefly. IIRC, there's nothing in Bloodline about Ben's actual birth.

I am very curious about when Luke went back to Devaron... (FYI this is from The Weapon of a Jedi, and it's only a brief report from C-3PO that Luke did go back.) I wonder how it figures in the timeline in relation to the Acolytes of the Beyond attack in A:EE.

Not the one Luke gifted Shara Bay, but the other one (which in Like's words was already "spoken for")?
Do you think he kept him for himself or do you think is possible he gave it to the same person that told him
about the Vetine base and the force tree in the frst place?

 

good point. he could have intended it for his new nephew or some other place that held meaning for him? he is still pretty young at this point and not yet hip to all the jedi lore, so what places might he have valued.

the effect of these trees is not known, but poe grew up with one in the backyard. will it turn out to have affected him?

 

Lady Carise was from Hux's home planet, which I think is not a coincidence.

 

Could you elaborate on what you mean by this? The events of Bloodline are about 23 years later than the events of A:EE, when we last "see" Brendol Hux. Do you think they knew each other? Or do you think there's something going down on their homeworld that would connect them?

 

One clarification on the early post Endor timeline. It didn't happen one year after, it all occurred in the first year.

We know that Ben was conceived on Endor following the destruction of the DS, so unless humans in AGFFA have a longer gestation period than 9 months then we need to compress everything by three months.

 

*cough* Well, that's Han's idea. In Bloodline Leia thought Ben was conceived soon after that on their Falcon honeymoon... Hmm...

 

That's when they got married, could have just meant that, or he's daft. That's what I thought he meant by it. Suddenly he's unfrozen, joining the rebellion and marrying princesses and knocking them up, just catches up with you like that, you wake up and are like "how did this happen".

She had ties to that woman, and what were they funding? She could have been a relative, they could have gotten in contact, not just Hux himself, but perhaps connections from way back, or not just Carise, but someone she was connected with, she seemed pretty daft and I am sure was just a pawn to someone else.

 

Are you thinking of Arliz Hadrassian, and Lady Carise's connection with her? I can definitely see Hadrassian having connections with Brendol Hux, seems like the type...
