Let’s talk timelines of the Rebellion. I’ve been doing some research and canon sources trace the rebellion forming to either the Declaration of 2000 in 19 BBY (when 2000 senators expressed their discontent with palpatine using so many executive orders) to 2 BBY with the declaration of rebellion.

Andor has been reported to take place in the “5 BBY area”…..this part of SW lore has always fascinated me. I would really like some backstory devoted to the origin of the rebellion.

hoping there are some flashbacks to Cassian’s younger days, I would like some backstory on his comment in R1 “I have bee fighting this rebellion since I was 6 years old”

    what are everyone’s thoughts?

If you watch Star Wars: Rebels, you find a freedom fighting effort being in full swing by 5 BBY (and probably before that as Hera already has deep underground insurgency contacts at that time). And Saw Gerrera, of course, was already rebelling right after RotS (as per Star Wars: The Bad Batch -- 19BBY), and in Solo: A Star Wars Story, Han practically funds a proto-Rebellion in 10BBY.

Star Wars: Andor will, pressumably, fill in a lot of blanks about the early Galactic Rebellion.

I will be very interested to see if they reference the Purge of Mandalore/Night of a Thousand Tears in this show when it occurs within the timeline. Maybe a news clip or some sort meeting where Rebels are discussing it.

Season 1 is in the books and we have some answers and many new questions about The Rebellion and it's timeline...
Is Luthen Rael the Kingpin of his group? If not, who is he working for? Maybe Bail Organa?
Who and where are all the other groups that Luthen and Saw talk about?
We know about Lt. Gorn, Supv. Jung and Agent Kallus...just how deep and how far up do spies go in the ISB and Imperial ranks?
Where are all of the Military-type Rebel Leaders and Admirals? Dodonna, Antilles, Raddus...?

I'd love to see Raddus in the next season. I'm sure we will be getting more of those type of characters as we approach the events closer to R1.

Also, don't forget about my boy Crix Madine! (I don't know why but as a kid watching RotJ I always thought he was the coolest).

He's deep in the Empire at this point, and according to Wookieepedia attempted to defect to the Alliance before the Battle of Yavin but it didn't happen until almost a year after.

Raddus and Madine would be epic!

I also have a strong need to see Biggs Darklighter in action at some point; I'll even settle for a cameo appearance in the background somewhere, but Biggs is so important to the character of Luke (and therefore to all of the OT Star Wars). When watching the trailer for the first time, and hearing the name "Bix" being mentioned, I cheered with joy, believing it was a reference to Biggs. Oh man, I hope we'll get Biggs in season two... <3
