Timing for Han Solo Teaser Trailer?

Check out the post we made this afternoon on the front page of the site. Multiple sources have heard the rumblings it is for sure coming Sunday. Stay tuned this weekend!

 

The Hollywood reporter has an article that states the Han Solo trailer will drop during the Super Bowl. It’s a pretty damn reputatable source, so I think the wait is almost over

 

Just out of curiosity, do your sources know if this was planned all along or a recent development? I'm just curious about the marketing strategy since it's breaking the mold a little bit from what they've done thus far.

 

The "source" is The Hollywood Reporter and they did not elaborate on marketing strategy.

 

This has been a recent development within the past few days. We have heard some stuff, but more on that should be coming soon. So stay tuned to the front page of the website for those stories the closer we get to Sunday.

The marketing strategy is under the coats of Disney and Lucasfilm and that is totally up to them how they want to present it. It's their IP.

 

This trailer has been delayed for so long, there's almost no way it can be anything but a disappointment.
The longer they hold it back, the greater the anticipation, and the less chance that it will live up to it.

As fans, we have an automatic hype level. Any disappointment is a matter of our own expectations, not Lucasfilm's. They don't have to sell the movie to us. If you have pre-conceived notions that the film is going to be bad, then even a great trailer won't make you feel better. You've been nothing but negative about this film, nothing in me believes that you will be satisfied.

 

I don't think there really is much anticipation for it. Oh don't get me wrong..... those of us in here are eagerly anticipating it, but I honestly don't think the general movie-going audience cares terribly much.

 

So, this popped out... Take this with a grain of salt.

 

Not sure where you got this from but I did a little digging and found the site and everything looks to be legit. If not during the Super Bowl then definitely Monday morning.

 

Yeah, looks like the 5th seems pretty legit.

Man, posting the day after the Superbowl? That's bold.

 

I think that if we get it on Monday, we'll see something during Superbowl as well, the trailer to the trailer.

 

A 30-45 second teaser during the Super Bowl with the full trailer the day after makes sense tbh. Disney would be spending upwards of $25-30 million dollars to get the time needed to show the full trailer during the Super Bowl.

 

I think the Super Bowl is a teaser (5 million for 30 seconds) and the full trailer Monday morning

 

They removed the Solo trailer part from the title on the website but I'd still say it's an overwhelmingly safe bet that we're getting it then.

I have absolutely no expectations for this movie.. but still cant wait to watch some new Star Wars stuff ..

 

I'm looking forward to it ...

 

Does it really matter? It's only a brief tv commercial for a film scheduled for worldwide release on 25 May 2018.

 

Is it a lot of work being this pessimistic? You've commented on like four threads in the past hour about how:

A. TLJ was a bad movie.
or
B. Solo is going to be bad.

What's even the point? It doesn't add anything to the conversation. It just leaves a bitter taste in the thread.

 

I won't be watching the game but might have to monitor when half-time starts to watch for the teaser or trailer. Funny thing about this movie is I'm more of a Star Wars fan than my daughter and yet she's really looking forward to it because she likes "Childish Gambino".
