Timing for Han Solo Teaser Trailer?

"Han & Lando in the moooooorning..!"

 

Maybe Abed wearing a Han-Solo-jacket in the paintball-double feature at the end of the second season was a big meta reference to the fact that "Troy" would play Lando in the second standalone-movie

 

I’m looking forward to this trailer just to get an idea for the look and feel of this movie. Overall, I’m excited for this movie. I have no expectations. I do think that this movie is going to be a fun, good time. I don’t think there will be anything too deep and that is fine by me.

Like RO I have no expectations for Solo. And in the end RO was a great surprise, I hope Solo has the same effect.

 

When first announced I thought this film would be completely unnecessary, because the character has enough of an arc in ANH and the rest of the OT. Much of his past being unknown adding to the mystery of the character.

However, I'm gradually began to anticipate this film, if only for the talent involved. And with the recent rumours/ leaks about planets and such, I'm actually excited.
This film has so many possibilities, showing a whole different side of the GFFA.

The only thing I'm still reluctant about is the notion this film could be a checking the box type of affair, showing all the things we already kind of known about Han Solo (be it from now Legends material).

Still, the prospect of seeing footage really soon, makes the inner fanboy go crazy once again.

 

The problem with the film (and Obi-Wan for that matter) is building tension. We know who's ever threatening Han and Chewie are not going win and we know where there characters end up in the end. I guess i'm excited for the more criminal underworld of Star Wars; which is something we don't really get a chance to see in the saga films.

 

Rogue One knocked that problem right over the fence. Welcome aboard.

 

Good point. But it was a war film. A good chunk of it was mostly action oriented and characters we never seen before. I feel like R1 had the easier of two.

 

That's a fair point, but it should be enough to give Solo the benefit of a doubt that they can bring dramatic tension even though we know the overall outcome.

 

It looks good. Now I am excited. Come on May!!!

 

Looks like my guys were on the money about the trailer. Sorry been too busy to stop in and say anything lately. Loved the preview. Can't wait till tomorrow.
