This is exactly what I wanted from a spin-off – not a solo movie about a main character from the saga, but someone new who isn’t a Jedi or major Rebel. I want to see the GFFA from a smaller, more average perspective.

I still remain apprehensive about having new Star Wars in theaters every year. A new Star Wars movie is more than just a movie, it’s an event. I fear it will become less special – like having Christmas every month. But as always, I am cautiously optimistic.

Or, like having Christmas every year, instead of six times in almost 40 years. :)

My concern is more one of quality. On the one hand, I thought that the prequel films were far more miss than hit, and in that respect I don't expect that we'll get WORSE SW movies (unless one of these hotshot young directors decides to go all shaky-cam on us, in which case I'll probably walk out of the damned theater.) But with the movies coming out at such a rapid rate, with such short production schedules (about a year and a half to two years rather than the three that Lucas always took) I worry that these movies might seem a bit rushed and "assembly-line" like so many of the old EU novels did.

BUT... it sounds like they're starting the spin-off films right. A movie about fighter pilots is a great way to bring everyone back into the Star Wars fold after TFA comes out. And better yet... we're a cinch to finally get another Star Wars starfighter combat videogame or two!

The rights to Rogue One on the bottom are for another product entirely that has nothing to do with Lucasfilm or Disney.

This might sound stupid to all you guys who have english as your first language but...
What if the title Rogue One isn't refering to a callsign. What if we all been deceived by a lie and the title really schould be prenounced like "the chosen one". The the title refer to one person who is a "rogue one".
What do you think? Is it possible?
What would it do to the speculative plot?
