SPECULATION TLJ Final Predictions

I haven’t seen one of these (though I haven’t been on this board much this week so forgive me if a similar thread has been made) and today is my last day on the internet until after my viewing Thursday night, so I thought a fun and satisfying way to go out would be to list final, official predictions for the movie. Without further ado, my predictions:

Luke never agrees to fully training Rey. After initially rejecting her completely, I could see Luke reluctantly showing Rey the ways of the force after being convinced to do so by Yoda and Obi Wan. His “training” however will leave much to be desired as she’ll be quick to leave his (what she believes to be) pointless ramblings about the force and head with Kylo to confront Snoke.

Rey isn’t a Skywalker, Solo, Kenobi, or a descendant if anyone “major.” Something ill fell upon her parents however as they were either kidnapped/murdered/forced to abonden her.

Snoke and Luke don’t interact in this movie. Luke leaves Ahch-to on his X-wing after raising it from the sea. My guess is he heads to Crait and plays a big last minute role in salvaging the battle. It will still go down as a loss for for the Resistance, but it would’ve been much more worse if not for Luke. And of course, before the movie is finished, Luke Skywalker ignited the green bc he’s Luke Maclunkey Skywalker and him not doing so wouldn’t make sense. My best guess is that he hid the saber in R2 after the burning of his Jedi temple.

Speaking of Luke’s infamous temple, what happened there isn’t what we expect. I guess an outside of the box theory could be that Kylo accidentally caused the temple to explode by not being able to control his power. Whatever actually happened there, I don’t think it was Ben going full on Anakin and slaughtering his fellow pupils and uncle’s students. This guy couldn’t even watch the slaughter on Jakku at the beginning of TFA. I don’t believe he would’ve been able to stomach killing his own friends.

Leia uses the force. No clue how, but this is something I fully expect to happen. We never really got to see Leia lose the force and unfortunately now, we probably won’t be able to in Episode IX either.
