Love it so much. To me it says that at this moment Luke was still fully ready to disarm Rey with some powerful Force move. Still in combat mode, the situation was under control. He lets go and falls only after she switches the lightsaber off. He waited it out, but I don't believe he was in trouble whatsoever.

Mendelsohn just looks like he's in an old black and white film while everyone else looks cartoonish and I cant explain why

 

I thought that was a lovely touch where of course she has never seen rain or at least of this amount in the desert of Jakku. another thing that was briefly touched on is that she cant swim either.

also in my third viewing BB8 is trying to impersonate the mouse droid by his series of beeps and running into people. at first i thought it was him unable to see, but part of me wonders its an inside joke because those mouse droids got under peoples feet as well.

I noticed this last night in my 3rd viewing, I thought maybe Carrie (RIP) played it where Leia has a moment when Luke held her hand that she realised he wasn't there, and that moment was possibly a "please don't give me away"

Luke's entrance in the Resistance base on Crait, mirroring his entrance into Jabba's palace to face the Hutt himself.

The Battle of Crait is mirrored compared to the Battle of the Hoth. The enemies and their walkers are now on the left side while the good guys and their base are on the right.

 

One more hint to Lukes projection? I didnt notice this one.

 

I was wondering whether force projections can block the sunlight because somehow, the shot shown was that of a normal figure blocking the sunlight as he was walking down the alleyway.

Anyone have any clarifications?

 

Of course it had a shadow guys, he wouldn't be able to fool anyone if his projection didn't absorb light, how do you think it would look?
The shadow shows clearly in the movie.

During the goodbye scene of Holdo and Leia both say at the same time our beloved phrase. The phrase was CUT in the middle!
Was this a hint by RJ for what was about to come? (Half Snoke, Half Supremacy and Half saber)

What shot is the sea monster in?

 

hmmm ~ just realized we may be talking about different sea monsters.

there's one live one in the background cresting in the water about 20 minutes and 30 seconds in (it's the first time she's following Luke up the mountain).

and then there's a dead one when she goes into the water right when she sinks to the bottom you can see the skull to the right.
it's about 1 hour and 14 minutes in.

the first one i had seen on my 1st viewing. the 2nd one i didn't see until my 4th.

You are right dreadnought Fluminatrix doesn't have TIE fighter squadrons. For close support air cover Fluminatrix relies on TIE fighters dispatched from resurgent class destroyers.

Mandator-IV Class siege dreadnoughts along with resurgent class destroyers are like a part of US Navy's CBG. They both have a very specific role to play.

When Poe Dameron was charging his X-Wing's booster and at the same time when he was trolling Hux, it was Hux who should have dispatched the TIE Fighters for Fluminatrix close support air cover, instead Hux laments something like "one small fighter against star destroyer". Then later when Poe takes out all the point defense turrets, MG-100 SF-17 bombers arrive to make their bombing run towards Fluminatrix. That's why captain Canady yells something like "five bloody minutes late" when TIE fighters are dispatched after point defense turrets are nearly destroyed by Poe.

Mandator Class Dreadnought Fluminatrix
Mandator-IV Class siege dreadnought's primary role is for surface bombardment using it's orbital canons. Except for those point defense laser turrets, it doesn't have any TIE fighter squadrons for close support air cover. As captain Moden Canady says those point defense laser turrets are meant for targeting bombers they are not meant for X-wings, that's why they are unable to shoot down Poe's X-Wing.

Resurgent Class Destroyers
Where as resurgent class destroyers have compliment of multiple platforms for air cover and surface landing like star fighter, TIE fighter and atmospheric assault landers respectively and it has an assortment armaments for long range and point defense roles.

Also there is a recent BF-II DLC which shows Iden Versio and her daughter stealing and transmitting the Fluminatrix and Snoke's Supremacy blueprints to Resistance intelligence and Leia.

When Rose and Finn are talking about disabling the hyperspace tracker onbaord Supremacy we are shown a hologram blueprint of Supremacy. That's how resistance got the design or blueprint of Supremacy and Fluminatrix from Iden Versio.
