TLJ Second Trailer. When and Where ??

Are we not getting a second teaser ?? If we are, I would definitely say August for teaser 2 and middle or end of October for the Final Trailer with no chance of an Final trailer in september. But if we are not getting a second teaser, I could get on board of the September train for the Final trailer.. But thats my Humble opinion ..

 

The MSW article said final trailer not second teaser. Although we have seen something marked as Trailer B which alot of times means a second teaser, so its a good question.
Mnf begins in Setember by the looks of it and is running up until December 25 according to the website. So it is a little bit difficult to forsee when the final trailer is gonna be released. It could be September October or even November.

 

So there are 3 trailers left for release ???

 

There are probably one teaser (in August/September), one official trailer (in October/November), one international trailer and several TV spots left. For my part I don't need any of those videos. I just want to see the movie. Haha!

 

I completely forgot about the trailer B thing .. So it is probably a second teaser for the next one.

If I had to guess, MnF would be the second teaser followed by the final trailer sometime around the end of October/beginning of November although we could receive an international trailer in between

According to http://www.bbfc.co.uk/releases/star-wars-last-jedi-filmtrailer-2 then yes. The running time of the trailer B is 1m.31s, and thats definitely not the running time for a full trailer.

This "trailer B" is most likely just a 90-second recut of the first teaser. It was broke down very nicely by TrailerTrack on Twitter. As far as the proper second teaser/trailer goes, they can go either the TFA way or the Rogue One way. TFA had no trailer between April and October, whereas RO did.

My bet is October (coinciding with Thor's world premiere). I have a feeling there will be just two trailers. It can be frustrating now, but well... I guess it's better not to see much before December. Btw. it's worth keeping in mind that the marketing campaign for Han Solo should start before TLJ comes out.

Trailer B is also rumord to have a couple of new scenes but still being a recut of the first teaser.
Yes TFA didnt have a teaser/trailer between April and October but it still had two teasers, one at the very end of November the year before release and one April 16 2015. So if they are to go TFA way they are still a teaser short for TLJ.

Nobody knows yet if the Han solo movie will be moved for December instead of May. They have some time to make that decision, not much time though but enough for it to still be a possibility.

 

Yeah, but I kind of see the 2014 teaser as something extra, not really being a part of the proper marketing. Besides, it was something veeery small. My main takeaway from the TFA cycle is that a 6-moth gap between trailers is something they're willing to do. The first TLJ teaser revealed roughly as much as the first two TFA teasers together. So in my opinion July 2015 TFA and July 2017 TLJ are at the same stage (if that metaphore makes any sense...).

But sure, it's possible we'll get another teaser. I just think it's a bit more likely they'll wait until October and give us the full trailer. There's also no major Disney release to attach the 2nd teaser to, but I guess they could drop it anyway if they wanted.

 

We dont need trailers everything is leaked anyway,we need film to see how it looks and enjoy.

Most likely we'll get a trailer mid-August - it appears as if they are following Rogue One's schedule so I'd say we'll get a teaser between August 10th - August 20th.

Full trailer: September 12th - September 23rd

International trailer: October 1st - October 16th

TV spots: October 17th - December 14th

 

I'd say we get some form of teaser/trailer in August/early September and then a final trailer end Oct/Early Nov.

 

A film is SO much more than it's plot synopsis. We have no idea how it will be executed: what dialogue we will hear, how actors will play it, how the DP will frame these scenes, how these shots will be edited, how the score will amplify the emotional charge of these scenes. Do you know how will these aspects play out?

 

Well, I mean, we've called the dates up to this date pretty much spot on every single time, so I'm sure one of us is right. Personally, I only think we need another full "final" trailer now and we're set: anyone who watched TFA will more than likely be drawn in by the cliffhanger ending of the film alone, which was a tease in itself, and the teaser trailer was great for setting the tone of this film.

Without a doubt, in my mind, the final trailer drops around in the second half of October, as the final trailers for TFA and RO did. It typically takes around two weeks for a trailer to find its way into theatres after its online debut, which would roughly coincide with the release of Thor: Ragnarok.

As for a second teaser trailer though? I'm not too sure; personally, as I've said, I don't think we need one like we did for Rogue One, which was spaced out with a teaser trailer in April, another four months later in August, and the final trailer just two months later in October, compared to The Force Awakens, with the preceding November offering a teaser, five months later being offered a teaser trailer in April, and, finally, roughly a six month gap to the final trailer. Whilst many will argue that TFA's teaser shouldn't be taken into account, I would argue as I did above: that the ending of TFA raised plenty of questions and intrigue, with the literal cliffhanger teasing the next instalment in the saga. The film was marketed by its predecessor.

Not to mention that the safe bet would have been for a second teaser trailer to show up last weekend at D23, if anywhere; there was a Celebration-exclusive trailer in Europe last year for Rogue One, but a public trailer was released a month later during the Olympics and was attached to Pete's Dragon if memory serves correctly. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm under the impression that Disney would have no new film coming out next month, let alone anything so major or minor enough to warrant a new teaser trailer being released, and a trailer in September seems odd if we're expecting a final trailer in October.

If we don't see anything in the ways of a second teaser trailer next month I'm fairly confident that we won't see a new trailer until the final trailer come mid-to-late October (granted, we could see something via an international trailer with bits and pieces of new footage, but I doubt it would be major enough to satisfy our appetites).
