Agreed. But imagine this game with more mature rating...hands, legs and heads flying around...blood sometimes) Waste of potential.

It was rated T, wasn't it, and you could actually see blood and guts exploding like with Rorschach from Warchmen (2008) when he would crunch his hand and make loads explode at once .

Tough choice! But I gotta go with...
1.) Star Wars The Old Republic (mmo)
2.) Star Wars Galaxies (still miss that game)
3.) Lego Star Wars (simple, fun and I can go back and continue to play it anytime)

4.) Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (playing as Kyle Katarn is awesome and you get to fight side by side with Luke Skywalker, legit)
5.) Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy - dual lightsabers and double sided lightsabers!

Sorry had to pick two more! And hey if you haven't played any of these games Steam is having a HUGE star wars sale, up to 70% off all game right now until Jan. 4th.

    1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (shocker, I know)
    2. Star Wars: Empire at War
    3. Star Wars Battlefront II (2005)

    Honorable Mentions:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords - Definitely in 4th place on my list
Star Wars: The Old Republic (MMO) Money, Money, Money. I preordered this and I enjoyed this game when it came out. However, I haven't played it for a while.
Star Wars Battlefront (2015) - Beautiful graphics, but EA is only interested in $$. Battlefront II, which was made five years ago, had way more content. Starship battles and any inkling of story are nowhere to be found. The graphics (and sound FX) are the reason I play this game, I mean Really EA? 4 Maps? 11 primary weapons? This video sums up my thoughts:
(There is pretty strong language, so be warned)
Any of the Jedi Night Games - There has never been a better lightsaber dueling simulator IMO, but I've just never got too invested in the story.

Warning: Massive amounts of rambling ahead.

    1. Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast

To date, this game still has the best lightsaber combat of any Star Wars game. Combine that with one of the best stories presented in a Star Wars game, one that made me adore Kyle Katarn as a character, and solid FPS mechanics, and you more or less have my favorite Star Wars game ever... even if the puzzles are a pain...

    2. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

An expertly crafted RPG with an original story set thousands of years before the events of A New Hope. Just about everything that could be said about this game has already been said. The dialogue system and branching story paths that would become the staple of every Bioware RPG that followed, an engaging story, and wonderful original music by the legendary Jeremy Soule made this game one of the most unforgettable I've ever played.

    3. Star Wars Episode I: Racer

I'll be honest, this one is nostalgia induced. I remember getting this for Christmas as a kid, following the multiple times I dragged my parents to see the Phantom Menace, and playing this for hours... Hours then became years, and I found myself still playing this on my Nintendo 64 some 6 years after I first got it. While I may not remember the names of all the individual Pods or tracks, my god, do I still remember the races. The anger, frustration, and indescribable feeling of triumph after finally placing 1st on some of the most irritating tracks ever conceived for a racing game... and Watto humming the Cantina band song from A New Hope... those experiences I probably won't forget for some time.

I'm now 22, and I still have that N64 and my original copy of the game.

    Honorable Mentions:

    - Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

While I feel the game had far and away better writing than the original, with a soundtrack that dwarfs even Soule's masterpiece, the game's rushed release leave it in an incomplete state that mods can only partially remedy.

    - Republic Commando

Fantastic shooter with some of the most memorable characters ever introduced to the canon... but that cliffhanger...

    - Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

It refined the saber combat, and had a multiplayer mode that, including the mods, I must've sunk thousands of hours into... But the story, while good, doesn't compare to Jedi Outcast's.

    - Battlefront I & II

If I spent thousands of hours on Jedi Academy... I can't even begin to imagine how much I spent on Pandemic's original Battlefront games. Many afternoons after school and weekends were spent playing these games. These almost made it onto the list over Episode I Racer... but my feelings of nostalgia favored the latter.

    - The Force Unleashed

Enjoyable story with a great soundtrack, but the inconsistency of the story between the multiple versions of the game I found to be especially irritating. Also, the sequel was a disappointment.

When I put in my top 3 for TFU, what I really liked about it was the game's engines which were revolutionary. I actually played EP. 1 Racer as a PS4 Port-Over and its nostalgic as you said but it just seems too hard to control, idk if you've experienced that, @TK-1204 .

I can't speak for the PS4 port, as I've never played it. I originally played it on the N64 with its incredibly awkward controller:

That being said, the game didn't exactly run very smoothly... it often had an awful frame rate, but as a 6 year old, I didn't really understand or care about that sort of thing. I just sort of soldiered through.

I had a Nintendo party in my house in December 2015 and someone brought over this game for The N64. The frame rate is so bad on HD TVs and 4K TVs in comparison to when we were little. The game play was a little too fluid for my tastes but easier to control on the '64 probably because it was specifically built for it .

Console indicates which version I played, not that that version is the best (the only games I've played on multiple systems are LEGO Star Wars games and Episode III, all of which are identical on consoles)

#3) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords (Xbox)
The sequel to the fantastic Knights of the Old Republic took one step forwards, and sadly, two steps back. While the customization of your character (new feats, more ways to customize your lightsaber, the fact you can actually balance fighting and Force prowess) and related elements are so much better, the story and the worlds you explore aren't as good as in the first game. Still worth picking up, though, especially if you loved the first game.

#2) Star Wars: Battlefront II (PS2)
This game has always been a lot of fun, just going around being a soldier in the Star Wars universe. I enjoyed filling in the blanks of the Clone Wars when I was in Jr. High (before The Clone Wars came out) and I have been having a lot of fun blasting Rebel scum the last few months as I have been playing it a lot since right before The Force Awakens came out (I needed something to keep me occupied). There are a few problems with it, though. The AI is terrible, there aren't that many modes, and honestly, the space battles are very monotonous and there are only two modes for them and the maps really aren't that different. Still a great game, though and worth the purchase if you love Star Wars and shooters. Plus, it is available on Steam for PC users! ALL OF THE MODS and it still has working online multiplayer!

#1) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox)
Not only is the my favorite Star Wars game, it is my second favorite game of all time (second only to Ocarina of Time). I actually bought an old Xbox from eBay in December 2012 just to play this one game. And I love it. The gameplay is great, the story fantastic, the worlds interesting, and the characters likable.

    Honorable Mentions:
    Star Wars: Episode I - Racer (N64)
I am also 22 and I also still have my original N64 and copy of Episode I - Racer that I got Christmas 2000. I had a lot of good times with that game and I remember getting really good at it when I was in Jr. High.

    LEGO Star Wars series
While my older sister was never much of a Star Wars fan, we had hours of fun playing this game, just laughing and having a great time. And we continued to play the series, having beaten LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Star Wars II, LEGO Indiana Jones, LEGO Batman, and LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4, and mostly having played LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 together.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (PS2)
It allows us to live a Sith power fantasy and I love it for that. Though now I keep accidentally calling it The Force Awakens.

Nostalgic Honorable Mentions (i.e., I haven't played them in years, so I don't know if I would still like them):

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron / Battle for Naboo (N64)
I'm placing them both here as they are very similar. I had fun flying around in various starfighters, though I never really tried playing the actual missions. My biggest memory is flying around the Bespin mission in Squadron in an A-Wing, just goofing off. I need to buy these one day.

Also, one day, I really need to play some older PC games, as I really want to try out some of them (especially Dark Forces as I do love older FPSes, especially Doom)

    BONUS:
The worst two Star Wars games I've ever had the misfortune to play!:

#2) Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (GBA)
This GBA exclusive is a terrible beat 'em up. The controls are bad (why do I have to push in a direction in order to attack?), the gameplay terrible, and it just is dreadful. The only good thing is that they did a good job recreating the opening crawl (with the opening theme actually sounding like it does in the film) and well digitized stills from the film.

#1) Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Lightsaber Duels (Wii)
This has to be worse than Masters of Teräs Kasi. I honestly had more fun playing Shaq Fu and no, that isn't a joke or hyperbole. While I love the Wii, if you weren't Nintendo, the motion controls were pretty much a death sentence. And this game has terrible motion controls, which makes it hard to fight and very tiring. Plus, there isn't much variety or content (the original Smash has better variety and content and that game came out about a decade before this one!) and they managed to screw up navigation of menus.

The only reason I keep these games is because I don't want to subject someone else to their horror.

    My top 3 would be

    1. Rogue Squadron 2 (GAMECUBE)
    2. Rogue Squadron 3 (GAMECUBE)
    3. Shadows of the Empire (N64/PC)

I have played quite a few Star Wars games although admittedly not all so this is based on the games I have played. I do have the original XBOX Star Wars Battlefront but for some reason I never really took to it. That might change when I finally get round to buying an XBOX One and the new Battlefront game which does look amazing!

Some other great games that missed out on my top 3 were

Jedi Knight: Dark forces 2 (PC)
    Rogue Squadron (N64/PC)
    Episode 1 Racer (N64/DREAMCAST/PC)
    Star Wars (ARCADE MACHINE 1983)
Star Wars Arcade (SEGA MEGADRIVE/SEGA 32X)
