It''s mostly gone from theaters where I live. Most of the showings are late in the evenings and I can't get to. I have seen it 16 times so far.

At least you saw and enjoyed it which is the main thing. Besides, when it comes out on DVD, you will be able to see it as many times as you like so there is that.

OK, my final total was 25 viewings. I loved every single one of them, and it's been quite a ride. OK, buckle-up everyone!

    There was the one where...

There was the first screening, in IMAX 3D, NYOM NYOM NYOM that blew me away and felt like the whole movie was going at 100MPH.

There was the second screening the day afterwards on a huge, beautiful screen with incredible sound.

There was the one where I went with a load of family at Christmas, and happily everyone enjoyed it, and we had a crazy-nerdy conversation in the car home.

There was the one where some guys had sneaked cans of beer in and were opening them on loud moments like explosions.

There was the one where I had a nice chat with the staff member about how many times I'd seen so far (think it was about 7 or 8 at the time...). They liked it too.

There was the one where (before the film started) a mother was telling an older couple how her daughter loved Star Wars, and showed them photos on her phone, of the young girl dressed up as Rey, and as Leia.

There were the (ones, plural) where my local cinema seemingly inexplicably put it back on a larger screen for a week. Which was nice.

There was the one where my cinema was evacuated just before the Resistance leaves to battle the Final Order and we all walked down the concrete fire escape stairwell, which felt like leaving a Resistance Base! (It was a false alarm, we went back in and even saw a couple of minutes of the movie repeated as they asked us exactly where it had stopped. Luckily they had somone who knew the film very well... ;)). Also met a guy who had seen TRoS 5 times and had the Blu-ray pre-ordered, but still liked TLJ a bit better (I told him I agreed but it was getting closer with each viewing!).

There was The Phantom Viewing - 'the one that got away', one that I booked tickets for but couldn't go. I had an unpleasant health thing... that's maybe a story for another time...

There were the ones with 'swag' - cups with toppers, popcorn tins, IMAX posters, trading cards. Impossible to get all of them really!

There was the one I wore my Episode I T-shirt.
There was the one I wore my R2-D2 and C-3PO hoodie.
There was the one I wore my Boba Fett T-shirt.
There was the one I wore my Solo: ASWS T-shirt.
There was the one I wore my Rogue One T-shirt.
There was the one I wore my Sith Troopers T-Shirt.
There was the one I wore my Episode IX T-shirt.

There were the very last two, which I sat through the entire credits for. I believe the last individual name in the credits is a Ben! :D (Ben Schwartz, who got a special thanks for a few jokes he contributed apparently). Spike Jonze is in the credits near the end too, not sure why!

    Good times. :)

Yeah I guess so now that we have a new flat screen tv ! That being said I am not a big watacher of films I have liked on tv, I just find that it doesn't translate well in some instances,. For example I loved the 2017 version of Beauty and The Beast and saw it multiple times, but have not sat down to watch it again since the dvd release. And one of my favourite scenes in TROS are the ones that take place in the Emperors throne room in Exegol. Especially at the end where Rey comes before him. The size of the screen really encapsulates the size of the stadium, and her situation. The fact that she's alone, like a poster said, it's like she's come before the devil to be tempted by him. And she has to resist temptation to kill him for killing her parents, ruining her childhood but also the temptation to to succumb and take the power he offers her. The cinematography and the audio (from the lighting strikes) makes it seem as if she is in the pit of hell. And that effect is not replicated on a tv.

I went into the nearby town and saw it for the 17th time on Sunday! :)

    That's a great observation about the size/scale.

Also I am slightly jealous you had somewhere still showing it on Sunday! :D

This post reminds me of the excitement I had for TFA.
I saw TFA over 10 times or so and can still remember most of the viewings I had, they were so memorable. There’s nothing like seeing Star Wars in cinema:)

Only saw TLJ twice and TROS once. My 2nd viewing of TLJ was one of the most fun audiences I had ever watched Star Wars with. Even though I didn’t like TROS, I’ll look back at the memories I made watching the Sequels fondly.:)(duel)

Awesome. So, I guess you liked it? ;)

Saw it four times, but for me that's a lot. Hadn't seen anything more than three times ever.

Gonna enjoy it again on blu-ray.

I watched it a few times at home now so I can really give a better opinion/review. I would call this movie a fun/mess, and I say that in a positive way as I still enjoy it. The movie doesn't make much sense, and it further proves there was no real point/arc to this Trilogy. But I liked the new characters, I think it gave the OT characters a nice sendoff, and it's still a fun movie that ties everything up. It's interesting that the PT has a cool story, has a point to exist, but isn't very well executed. The ST doesn't have the most interesting story, doesn't really need to exist, but is well executed and acted.

I would say that the point to the trilogy is that you decide the type of person you want to be through your choices, mindset and how you handle challenges.

Watched it a 2nd time last night at home and all I can say is thank goodness I persevered with it. After watching it once I wasn't much impressed as it moved at such lightspeed I left the theatre confused at what I had just seen.

Being able however to watch and digest it again at a comfortable speed made everything just click into place.

Its not perfect but I'm so glad a second viewing restored my faith in what I think is an excellent film.

I've gone back and forth a lot with this movie. First thought it was pretty good and then watched it more and liked it a lot. Now I've seen it a few more times and I'm much less impressed. Still enjoyed it and I think they did pretty good with the hand that was dealt them (The Last Jedi), and it's my favorite of the sequel trilogy still. But overall I think it's just a mediocre Star Wars film.
