Back in the day, when I was in the Correction academy, I needed some hard cash so I sold all six Star Wars soundtracks to Coconuts music and movies, they changed their name to FYE, anywho, I have the TFA and TLJ soundtracks now, on May the 4th I'll have to double dip!!! Very curious how those remasters sound, but, gosh, these covers suck. So bland. There's so much beautiful Star Wars artwork and yet they pick something like this. Btw. it drives me crazy that RotS stripe isn't red and TESB stripe isn't blue. :p And silver fits ANH the most. At least they got RotJ right.

I see they're planning a release on CD. Any thoughts on if we'll get vinyl too?

When you go to Amazon pages of these soundtracks, there seems to be a vinyl option, but nah, it leads to some old releases or whatever. I imagine, though, they'll release them at some point, since the new movies get soundtracks on vinyl.

What a lovely picture. Leia's pose is an absolute perfection. :)

PS. That pose of Finn looks just like a pose one of my former classmates made on every picture. I am not kidding. :D

Absolutely. Perfectly captures the mix of sassiness and authority that Carrie mastered for Leia.

Funny, a room of iconic people, and I guess I can justify Connix there, but who's the alien dude? Seems like he photobombed them.

He's the guy Poe asks if the pink-haired lady is actually Holdo. Alongside Chewie he's the most prominent alien in the film. He is a male Abednedo called C'ai Threnalli. He flew one of the ski speeders during the Battle of Crait.

I don't know, I doubt where gonna hear a difference. Maybe at least with the OT stuff, but not so much with the PT. Will it be on Spotify? Or is this only for physical?

Better-sounding version of RotJ would be cool, but I don't know if much can be done, because I think it was recorded this particular way. And yeah, I don't think PT needs any kind of remastering, because these are extraordinarily good recordings. I guess the purpose of remastering all 6 was to make them sound equal in terms of dynamics and overall loudness. PT soundtracks are pretty much already there, but there's definitely more to be done with OT scores, because each of the three sounds so different. Well, if Shawn Murphy and Skywalker Sound are involved, they must know what they're doing. I can't wait to examine the differences.

Also, there's the question of which version of OT in terms of tracklist are going to release. The way it was in the most recent "Ultimate" physical release or the "Ultimate Digital Collection"...? It's so confusing... Moreover, it was a good opportunity to release extended versions of PT soundtracks, shame they didn't go for it.

Already have them all, special extended versions too. "Remastering" is just marketing speak for "buy them again". Which I won't be.
