    the Q4 earnings results call was on the 9th nov last year - so that would make sense. i skimmed the Q3 transcript from July.. there was nuthin juicy in that one, so i don't have my hopes up for Q4 lol.

    Ava DuVernay is currently visiting the set and she made a photo of Vic Mahoney's, 2nd unit director, office. She claims there's nothing spoilerific in this photo, but it's nice to look closer, particularly at that crawl, because it seems to be the crawl for IX.

    I wouldn't get to excited... there was also a rumor that we won't get footage till Celebration. Also, we're seven months out whereas Avengers 4 drops in May and we don't have a trailer for that (YET).

    Weintraubt also stated the Avengers 4 trailer is coming Friday, Spiderman trailer is coming on the weekend, and talked about marvel-netflix issues. He went on a tweet spree of info because he's been holding back. Difference between Weintraub / Maison and the rest is that they seemingly hesitate to publish off the back of sketchy or limited sources.



    Doesn't mean it's (IX teaser) is coming out, but there is definitely something to the story. Marvel are dropping THREE trailers for HUGE projects in the same week, how often does that happen? It could be possible that Disney has changed something about it's marketing for the end of the year. IT's all a guess atm but at least a credible reporter is reporting it.

    Regarding the Collider guy, if they're doing a teaser, expect it to be like the one for TFA, with the first full trailer at Celebration.

    I should note that, of the three Marvel movies you're talking about, only two are Disney movies. Spider-Man: Far From Home, while produced by Marvel Studios, is technically Sony's movie, and as such, marketing it is their concern.

    True. Thanks for the distinction mate :) To slightly change it, i wouldn't have thought even a month ago that Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 would get trailers in the same week (let alone one day a part which changed to due the Bush funeral). So the possibility exists for some ruffling of feathers in the market dept in disney. Maison seemingly in agreement with Weintraub is a good sign and at least it isn't Zeroh and BS-Twitter. I hope we hear more today.

    One thing that I think is very likely, regardless of whether or not an Episode IX teaser is in the pipeline: Frozen 2 getting a teaser in time for Mary Poppins Returns.

    I'd really love to see Star Wars footage in front of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Once Upon a Deadpool, and Aquaman (and maybe Bumblebee).

    I think it makes all the sense in the world to drop something within the next few weeks. After Thanksgiving weekend passed with nothing, I gave up hope on getting anything more than a title before Celebration in April but with Disney's full scale takeover from now until the end of 2019, and with them pushing a lot of their properties a little earlier than a lot thought (Lion King, Frozen 2) I would think they'd like to do the same with Star Wars, for a multitude of reasons.

    I don't think we'll be shown much, probably not even as much as we got for the first teaser of TFA, but just enough to plant Star Wars' feet back on the ground and remind the public that in the midst and chaos of everything else, "Hi, we're still here."
