I don't want to ruin your surprise, or anyone with the same mindset. For me the term "spoilers" is a complete misnomer, with the point being that advanced information could never ruin the experience for me. Soilers, that being false or deliberately known falsehoods, are something I can do without. It's cool if advanced information is not your thing, but why is intentionally disseminating false information anyone's thing? Surprises are overrated.

With the exception of documentaries or the news I watch films/TV as an escape from reality. Star Wars being the ultimate in escapism, a little factual advanced information could never ruin my experience. I saw TFA three times, and time permitting would have liked to have gone again, and I knew almost everything about it before the first time. Hopefully Episode VIII ends up being the same way in that regard, but it hasn't been to this point.

Spoilers don't affect my viewing experience in any negative way either. I mean, after all, I'm a member of a star wars forum/site that specializes in any and all pre star wars film release info. Those that are members here and have a problem with spoilers are simply making it hard on themselves IMO. Some people can hit a switch and stay away from star wars related sources but most don't or eventually give in at some point.

I echo this 100%. Spoilers don't usually detract from the experience for me, because a) you can see if the spoilers were right; b) you still get to see exactly how it plays out on screen; and c) you can catch better glimpses leading up to it if you know what happens ahead of time.

This doesn't hold true all the time, but for the most part, it's been my experience.

Many people working in film industry say that if a spoiler makes you dislike a film then filmmakers failed in their job of telling a compelling story and I can definitely subscribe to that statement. Of course, it's important to have an intruiging plot but the execution of the story is what ultimately matters. This is why people love "The Empire Strikes Back" so much. Luke's parentage reveal is crucial to the whole OT but if the movie itself was mediocre, then it would have fallen into obscurity and its rewatch value would have been pretty low. Thankfully, that's not the case. This is also why I don't care that much about spoilers. It's nice to be surprised by a film, sure, but there's a lot more to cinema than plot twists.

I'm in agreement. Oh and BTW, I'm an empire child. :) For me it's the experience of seeing the movie in it's entirety. I love spoilers. In fact, I'm pretty much addicted to them. The only thing that could truly spoil my experience is actually seeing the movie before it's release which pretty much has a 99% chance of not happening.

MSW said on his latest podcast that he has a snoke story coming next week. Don't know how spoiler-heavy it will be considering he's holding back on VIII news to give RO it's time in the sun.

"Next week" meaning this week, or "next week" meaning after this week's weekend?

I think he means after this week's weekend. I guess it depends if he meant in context of when he was recording or when he knew the podcast would be out.

" first VIII recording session" Confirmation that JW has started on the actual movie and not just the trailer music?
