I don't see why the Sequels need to do that its makes sense he would be overburdened with his destiny then come back Rian or JJ Did nothing wrong only made even more compelling This from a Luke Fanboy

Luke was definitely prime in ROTJ.
It actually launched my life-lomg love for characters being fully in their prime in act 1 of the story and staying there forever.

    Why?

Because, for so long, I wanted ROTJ Luke in ANH. It bothered me that I barely got Luke in full form kicking arse. There was basically one part. Act 1 of ROTJ and that pretty much that.

As a kid who grew up on Zorro serials, this was one thing that really put me out about Star Wars for a long time.

But then a funny thing happened...I saw TLJ and the progressive Luke who has a blooming moment and continues into yet another version of himself just as he did in the ROTJ from ANH.

I still love the pulp hero who is an ace right off, but Luke has become far more special to me since the ST, and that full bloom of him in ROTJ now is even more special.

    Cheers,
    Jayson
