oh you've definitely got to read Darth Vader before starting Dr. Aphra. enjoy!!

as for the prophecy of the Bendu, he never said he saw Thrawn's death. his exact quote was "You cannot see... But I can... I see your defeat. Like many arms surrounding you in a cold embrace."
so he never said Thrawn would be killed, just defeated, and that it was like many arms surrounding you in a cold embrace. That means he was not being literal. Otherwise, he would have said something like "You cannot see... But I can... I see your death. Many arms surrounding you in a cold embrace." Very key wording there, and by a being who knows all bout being mysterious with his ways!!

Oh yeah! I misremembered that and paraphrased something similar. Good eye, good eye! Maybe instead of it being his death, he is captured by Saw Gerrera and after getting tortured by Bor Gullet, he escapes and retreats to the Unknown Regions in shame, only to come back later down the line. Or maybe it's just a metaphor... IDK, we'll just have to wait and see!

I'm also going to try to get each new issue of the new Darth Vader series when it comes out. I wonder if it'll have any connections to the previous Darth Vader series, or perhaps his castle in RO. Gosh, I'm so hyped for all this new Star Wars content! :D

The Bor Gullet scene is perhaps the oddest scene in Rogue One. It does not add much to the story. If we would see the Bor Gullet somewhere else, then the scene might not be a total waste. I am sure we will see Vader's castle on Mustafar.

Yes, I bet that is why we're going back to Mustafar in the sequels.

New book announcement tomorrow. Could Luke be involved?

Evidently it is a trilogy and Johnathan Jackson Miller and Paul S. Kemp are involved.

Also click The Operation Bluemilk hash tag for more info.

Well this has me intrigued with all those authors involved it's probably a Tales inspired book though a Aunt Bru cookbook would be cool.

I'm legit excited for another trilogy if that's the case, especially when it's being handled by authors that I like. Book series that cover multiple books are usually a bit more epic in feel.

While this is exciting news, I did have a little hope it would be something about Luke.. Though I think after The Last Jedi his abscence will be explored further.

So, in true Star Wars theorist fashion, could Operation Blue Milk mean? Just a fun codename?
Or does it take it's name from operation Blue Beam, which is a theory about a step program to create new world order. Could this mean the short story all have to do with the up and coming First Order, prior to TFA? For example, Snoke is a known figurehead in the galaxy, so perhaps these stories chronicle different situations, seen through different eyes, concerning the galaxy learning about the First Order. Just a wild, wild guess and yes, I probably look too much into it.

    /tin-foil hat off.

I like the Blue Milk book idea, the interludes were my favourite part of the Aftermath series, and this feels like it will be ALL that. I dig it.

    From: http://uproxx.com/hitfix/star-wars-new-hope-anthology/

The galaxy of Star Wars is a vast place, despite most of the current stories revolving around the Skywalker family. Hundreds of species on scores of planets are born, live, and die within the fictional universe George Lucas created in 1977. Most of them will never have their stories told because their life’s orbit doesn’t take them near the Most Important Family In The Galaxy™. Even those who are lucky enough to become background characters don’t have time to tell the audience who they are. Until now.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars Del Rey books has teamed up with Lucasfilm for an anthology called Star Wars: From a Certain Point Of View. Due out this October, the book collects 40 stories from 40 authors about characters that appeared in A New Hope for brief moments and peeks into their lives.

Each [story] will be told from the perspective of background characters of A New Hope — from X-wing pilots who helped Luke destroy the Death Star to the stormtroopers who never quite could find the droids they were looking for.

Generously, every author in Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View did not receive compensation for their words. Instead, all proceeds that would’ve gone to the authors will instead by donated to the charity First Book. The nonprofit is dedicated to providing books and other essential learning materials to underprivileged kids. Since 1992, First Book has distributed over 160 million books and resources. On top of the authors donating their pay, Penguin Random House will donate $100,000 to the charity and Disney/Lucasfilm will give 100,000 children’s’ books to celebrate the launch to Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View.

As of this writing, not all of the anthology authors have been announced. However, the partial list revealed includes Ben Acker & Ben Blacker, Renee Ahdieh, Tom Angleberger, Meg Cabot, Rae Carson, Adam Christopher, Zoraida Cordova, Delilah, S. Dawson, Paul Dini, Alexander Freed, Jason Fry, Christie Golden, EK Johnston & Ashley Eckstein, Paul Kemp, Mur Lafferty, Ken Liu, Griffin McElroy, John Jackson Miller, Nnedi Okorafor, Daniel José Older, Mallory Ortberg, Madeleine Roux, Gary D. Schmidt, Cavan Scott, Sabaa Tahir, Glen Weldon, Chuck Wendig, and Gary Whitta.
