For me I really want to find out when it's set & as it won't come out till after Rebels has finished I'm going to take a place that it takes place between the end of Rebels S4 & R1.

This wouldn’t surprise me too much, to be honest, but I think that it is contingent on when the R1 tie-in episodes come into Rebels.

I’ve mentioned it elsewhere, but the Empire’s tactics in TESB were ruthless, and it’s the only time that they are depicted as being truly victorious in the OT, so it wouldn’t surprise me if we were to learn that Thrawn had something to do with that behind the scenes.

My best guess would be that it’s placed between ANH and TESB, as it’s a three year window we haven’t really seen explored, but it could fit almost anywhere.

I think it somewhat depends on their plans for Thrawn, who, in my mind, shouldn’t be around (in the chartered area of the galaxy, if you know what I mean) come the start of ROTJ.

I like when people working on Star Wars have a healthy sense of humor. From Thrawn comic artist:

I really f***ing want legacy to come back. It'll probably be not as good as it was when it was being published by Dark Horse Comics, but Marvel can still make an effort.

The comics are pretty much bleeding this time period dry. It seems the heroes are on a mission every second of the day in the lead up to TESB

Just saw the cover for Doctor Aphra 18, it contains a massive spoiler for Aphra issue 17, but I think fans of SW canon will be excited.

Doctor Aphra is on the cover together with Hera Syndulla

Just a random thought... what if it's the journal of Padme and we have some kind of intro where we learn how Luke and Leia found out she was their mother, and Leia is reading it after it was given to her?

I know it's too much to ask but I would definitely love that!!

I always felt that Padme's role in ROTS was very passive. She just waited on Coruscant for Anakin. I understand that her pregnancy would have limited her physical movements, but she was also emotionally underused. In TPM and AOTC (and Clone Wars), she was a strong woman, but in ROTS she seemed weak. I had a hard time believing the Padme that died of a broken heart was the same person that took charge and went to Geonosis to save Obi-Wan. Although she would have been devastated by the loss of Anakin, the Padme of TPM and AOTC (and Clone Wars) would have lived to take care of her twins. A book about Padme could explain this apparent change in character.

    Releases March 2018:
    • March 7: Star Wars #44
    • March 14: Darth Vader #13, and Thrawn #2 (2/6)
    • March 21: Star Wars #45, and Poe Dameron #25 (Legend Found 6/6)
    • March 28: Doctor Aphra #18 (Remastered 5/6)
The description of the new Darth Vader series is interesting: "As the Empire’s grip tightens, the stirrings of Rebellion begin in the Mon Cala system. Order must be maintained…a job which falls to Vader, his inquisitors…and Wilhuff Tarkin."

Hmm, the description for Poe Dameron issue 26 is interesting. Seems like this issue takes place during TFA. I always assumed that the Poe Dameron comic would end at issue 25 at the beginning of TFA.

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Poe_Dameron_26

Also it seems like the main SW comic is taken place on Mon Cala, so that means that the SW and Vader comic both take place on Mon Cala but in different era's, but we can read them at the same time! Mind...... Blown

    Releases April 2018:
    • April 4: Star Wars #46
    • April 11: Darth Vader #14, Thrawn #3 (3/6)
    • April 18: Poe Dameron #26
    • April 25: Doctor Aphra #19 (Remastered 6/6), and Darth Vader #15
@ThatGuyFromHolland - It seems that there will be some overlap between TFA and the comic, but I am thinking that we will be told how Poe survived the crash on Jakku and got back to D'Qar to join the Resistance in time for the attack on Starkiller Base. The overlap between Star Wars and the new Darth Vader comics is interesting too. Although the story lines take place 20 or so years apart, it would be awesome if something that happens in the new Darth Vader comic would affect the events of Star Wars.
