EW’s cover story will feature a conversation with the movie planning team about a meeting in January to mark out the future of the franchise beyond Episode IX. They also spoke with Rogue One's composer, Michael Giacchino (Doctor StrangeUp), wherein he described his musical contribution as 'the galactic version of World War II music'.

EW's Rogue One special hits the shelves tomorrow.  Also, be sure to check back later as they promised to drop some more exclusive photos from the movie.

    UPDATE!

EW also shared 15 new photos from Rogue One with some interesting new details about the movie.

After covers like the Vader one here, I really hope his role isn't being overhyped. It probably is. We'll have to see. :)

Interesting Giacchino comment...Does that mean we can expect something relatively restrained? We know he looks up to John Williams (what composer doesn't?) and Saving Private Ryan was poignant when it needed to be, but it didn't call attention to itself.

A planetary shield gate, as originally used in the Buck Rogers tv series. ;)

I am hoping maybe he means a bit more militaristic along the lines of maybe a Basil Poledouris' Starship Trooper kind of thing. The movie was a bit meh but the score was awesome. Cross SW themes with a score like that and I get the chills just thinking about it.

Actually, it's an air shield. As first used on the planet Druidia in Spaceballs! ;)

In phase 1 of the new Star Wars Battlefront Scarif DLC, the rebel fleet needs to storm the shield gate first before air support and reinforcements can be provided for Jyn and her infiltration party.

In the new picture, Vader's suit doesn't look like the one he wears in Episode IV.

The lenses are black, the fabric is hidden under the breastplate.

In this picture, it looks exactly like the one in ANH.

Maybe the rumors about him getting injured are true.

I noticed the non amber lenses too. I think you may be right that he could possibly be injured and need his suit upgraded. That second pic of Vader definitely has the episode IV lenses in his mask. Supports Vader being the mystery person in the Bacta tank as well. Very cool.
