Hello. It's been a while since I've read often here, or posted, and the sites grown a lot. I hope this is alright, here.

I got the idea for this from this thread, mentioning that the Emperor and Vader should have been used more.

Personally, for Rogue One, I think they did alright. They mentioned Palpatine a few times, mentioned Vader (like Chekhov's gun), showed Vader in two segments/a few scenes, with dramatic effect both times.

Now, moving ahead, we're going to have a "Han Solo Story," and might have films based on "Obi Wan," Boba Fett," "The Whills," "Vader," "Lando Calrissian," and so forth.

To be honest, it's going to be easier to focus on the "PT" and "OT", than the "OT" and "ST," for filming things. Easier to recast people who can look younger, than it is to cast people between two ages we've seen on screen.

As it is, we can't have Jedi's in every movie, nor Sith, acolytes, and the like. Maybe a light-saber or something every 2-3 movies...

Personally, other than maybe some "super special plot," Vader and Sheev should stay in the realm of brief mentioning, and holo-net broadcasts in bars and on news billboards.

To tell you the truth, I really don't think they have to be in everything as many stories may have nothing to do with said characters. Let's use Bossk as an example. Prior to the events on TESB, we really don't know if Bossk had even seen Vader before and much less Palpatine. If we were getting a prequel movie about Bossk's days as a Bounty Hunter when he was young and in his home planet Trandosha, what would be the point or the need of seeing Vader or Palpatine in said movie? Not only them but every other famous OT character as well.

It's cool if those beloved characters are used in movies when they are indeed part of the story as Vader and Tarkin were used in RO and the Emperor was mentioned and it would be the same if we had Greedo or Jabba pop up in the young Han Solo movie as these characters were part of Han's story and I think they should do the same with every other important main character. The cameos should be left for background characters that fans enjoy as they did with Dr Evazan and Ponda Baba in RO.

I can see a line like "Your meaner then Palpatine" or something like that.
