Vader had control over Lukes lightsaber during the throne room fight !

I've heard of this error, but I've never seen it myself! I wonder how this part was originally intended to go. Was Luke supposed to Force-grab his saber again?

 

Yes, in the original script, Luke was supposed to force grab his saber back. George changed it for some reason. I think Luke force grabbing his saber back would've actually been better. This scene was never reshot so this mistake is visible.

Does not look like luke's lightsaber which has a very Obiwan look to it.

 

That's just a leftover from an original version of the script where during that battle Luke and Vader were supposed to trade lightsabers.

That's correct. Kahn's ROTJ novelization is based on a yet unseen, unpublished draft version and features the scene near the end of Chapter 8. Luke puts his lightsaber on the ground, it rolls towards Vader who picks it up with a Force grab. Vader talks about Luke's sister, Luke yells "Never!", and Luke Force-grabs it back, "igniting as it came to him"

 

You do know that they are the exact same prop right? They just altered Kenobi's to look a little different.

 

No, did not know that, but it just looks different but it is hard to tell to be honest.

 

I don't know what your picture is of I don't see that, I thought you meant though that like, He wasn't trying to kill him, or even maime him? He's babying him the whole fight, teaching him,
like really obviously training him, but like he acted like it's a real fight, so Luke pressed and cut him, so Vader got pissed, you think I don't control this? Sliced the prausca to tell him what he was about to do, made two strokes and cut off his hand
like don't you think for a second I wanted to End you!

 

I realize this is a little bit of an older thread, but I just wanted to point out TheSenate is correct. It was even in the original poster when the movie was still called Revenge of the Jedi.
