    So before the Rise of Skywalker panel shows some images from making of the film. One particular image may have given away something.

    The image shows a reflection on C3PO face that likely wasnt meant for us to see.

    I'm slow sometimes I see the reflection of a red light saber being activated. Is there more I am missing?

    Based on their expressions, combined with some rumors from Making Star Wars, here's what I think is happening here . . .

    Their lightsabers are activated but they look more uncertain than angry. I think Kylo Ren is approaching them for a team-up, possibly against the KoR and the Emperor? I believe the rumors indicated that Kylo will help them and remove his mask, and we've seen a Celebration image of maskless Kylo on this same planet. Then add in trailer speculations, people saying that the Rey vs Silencer thing looks more like a training exercise or a team-up. It all works together.

    I get that they paid money to see this...but why show things to one group of fans and not the other? Especially when you call that place CELEBRATION.

    And especially when they KNOW it's gonna look. It's not a choice between one group of fans seeing it and not another. It's a fan between one group seeing it the way they intended, and another group seeing it in crummy phone quality.

    Nothing can match the actual convention experience. The atmosphere, the merch, the stands and panels they don't even stream. There's no reason for this "show one trailer and not the other" stuff.

    I think they know it will get out or will be released later. They just want the ones who paid for celebration to have the exclusiveness of seeing it first.

    Just to be clear this wasnt everywhere at Celebration. We didnt get into the Celebration Stage or overflow rooms. We watched from show floor at the Star Wars Show stage. We didnt see the video either.

    this is the way i look at it (from my extremely privileged pov): if you "won" the lottery it has to mean something; you get just that little something extra.
    yes, you get to be in the actual room with the stars or whatever, but even then if you have a bad seat, you're almost better off watching the live feed.
    for every day of the show, the people who won the lotteries got something extra, whether it was merch or a sneaky peek at a little something extra.

    for The Mandalorian, the footage was that little something extra.
    to some degree, the same goes for the little tidbits of Episode IX.

    i was apparently extremely lucky with the lotteries. many people i talked to said they won only one (or none at all!). : o O
    but yeah, this does not translate to playing Megamillions or Powerball, unfortunately. XD
