VIII: Our suggestions

1.Give Luke some time in the film but dont overuse him.Spare him for the final act in a bad ass battle we are all waiting.
2.No more force ghosts.No Anakin/Yoda/Ben etc.
3.Show us who the Knights of Ren are and why Kylo Ren is their leader..We need a deep back story.
4.Make Snoke so powerful so any comparison between him and Palps to be like comparing Godzilla with Papa Smurf.
5.Show us Rey as a grey Jedi,enough with the Light/Dark model.
6.We need more (i mean MORE) new ships,weapons,planets (Uknown Regions please),fighting styles.No more nostalgia ,we've had enough,time to go on.
7.As little as possible comic relief.Send Chewie back to his family to mourn Han and let C3P0 and R2 stay in the Resistance base as assistants.BB8 is more than enough.
8.Lando's participation would be ok,if not,no problem with me.
9.Give us a new,big love story,i loved Anakin-Padme (i didnt love the dialog though)
10.Poe and Finn are a such great characters,we need more of their story (and i think we'll have)

Since the majority of thread focuses on Luke Rey and Kylo, I'll focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and Maz.


Finn has a Force vision while in his coma. He doesn't understand its meaning or trust its significance... if he believes it is real at all.


The destruction of the New Republic left a power vacuum, I don't want Leia to fill it, I'd rather her tap into her Force capabilities, but given the hand off to the new cast I think that is where she could end up. Perhaps the drama would be that she would be an even greater target of the FO.


If Leia goes to the new republic the audience could probably see Poe being promoted as the next General. I hope this doesn't happen because it could pretty much ground him. What's the point of being the best pilot in the galaxy if you are milling about in the situation room? What he does is dependent on the script, but I'd like to see him, BB-8 and possibly Finn take on a critical task in the absence of orders--perhaps reacting to an extreme situation. Poe's confidence and charm are reminiscent of Han, but he is far less gruff and gets by with charisma. Although he's a flight leader, this episode will probably have him spend more time flying some sort of transport that he'll need to get creative with.


I don't see any great Stormtrooper revolt going on since troopers are the FO's main fighting capability. If there's no super-weapon and considerably less Stormtroopers and TIE pilots on the FO's side, they would be weakened considerably. I think we are going to see the opposite out of the FO. Despite losing their super-weapon, this could be a time of their resurgence given the New Republic's destruction.


Maz helps Finn make sense of what he sees in his dreams. She may also try to guide him in using/trusting in the Force to aid his ability to fight the FO/darkside. Finn's impatience and disbelief may mirror that of Luke when being trained by Yoda. Maz gives Finn another lightsaber before he and Poe set off. He will take the leap, using his Force sensitivity at a critical moment saving one of his comrades from certain death.

The guys from The Raid have double casting duty as members of the Knights of Ren. These talented professionals were WAY underutilized.

Bencio Del Toro plays a very dark grey Force using Ezra Bridger who like Rey felt a lightsaber call to him once. There is a connection between him and Rey and his powers rival Luke’s.

When they finally meet up at some point, Luke recognizes Finn.
