That line could also imply Vader was still learning the ways of the Sith whereas he's now "the man".

Hiding yes but doesnt stop him from using Jedi mind tricks.

Honestly I just want a solid story w/ no filler fluff to fill in time...something creative...
not like the last X-Files "season" where ep 1 and 6 with sandwiched between the monster of the week episode which had nothing to do w/ 1 and 6.

Having Kenobi just mope around Tatooine dealing w/ the locals while keeping an eye on Luke would be a waste..

Based on Rebels it might be plausible to see the Kenobi/Maul duel.

However, considering the reception SOLO got I doubt Disney would revisit that w/ another crime caper.

All for a Han Solo/Chewie/Falcon cameo..no reason we can't get a Qui Jon fore ghost or a Yoda projection either...

For me it would be a waste if the Kenobi series is just another action show. I actually don't need to see him fighting bad guys. I would rather have a spiritual journey of self discovery. A mixture of both would be best though.

I really hope Disney does Kenobi justice w/ a firs class effort and not mail it in w/ a sub par production just to milk the fans into Disney+ subscriptions.

Rumored 6 episodes... I hope they run longer than the 28-38 minutes we got w/ the Mandalorian.

Personally I would have packaged The Mandalorian into a single Disney+ movie...(those old enough will remember the CBS Sunday Night movie.....Same principle)
so I'd do the same for Kenobi (1 single TV movie).

    Cheers, KH

It's actually 4 episodes. I think 1 hour run time for each episode.

Well, 'The Mandalorian' was born because of the cancelled Boba Fett movie.

I would also prefer a movie, but mainly because I'm a huge cinema fan.

I would definetly love to see that, to go back to the old hermit times. A spiritual calm series, with great dialogues and interesting situations and characters.

Ohh ♥ The old rumors before prequel movies. Love it. A Kenneth Brannagh fightinh with himself. :D

I don't know if this is common knowledge or a little known fact, but when Timothy Zahn was writing his Heir to the Empire novel, he wanted to include an evil clone of Obi-Wan. Lucasfilm said "no", so Zahn created the brown-robed, white-bearded Joruus C'abaoth instead - a clone of some other Jedi "from the past".

But had things been different, we could have had an Obi-Waan Kenobi in the pages of Legends.

...or would that have been Obii-Wan?

    ...or perhaps Obi-Wan Keenobi?

I think it's safe to say that Obi-Wan will be conflicted with himself. When it came to following the Jedi's rules, Obi-Wan was very much by the book, unlike his master Qui-Gon. He will probably be feeling lost and perhaps even a little depressed. At this point in time he has seen and dealt with a lot of emotional stuff. The Jedi Order falling apart would have been the last straw for him.

I think we'll see some new villains. He'll still be watching over Luke at around this time, so I think that's a huge window of opportunity right there to do some stuff.

If Ob1 faces Vader again in this series, I think it would be off world. I think Vader would sense Luke on Tatooine if he were to find OB1. I don't think it makes sense for OB1 to leave Tatooine since his mission is to protect Luke, but many have said this might occur. I have my doubts, there are other villains like Jabba and his cohorts that OB1 can face on Tatooine.

I hope we don't get multiple saber battels. I only want one and impactful duel. Less is more.

Not watched the video, but if there's going to be some big duel between Ob-Wan and Vader then I don't think I can get excited about that. What is the point of that? There will be no sense of peril and no tension. We know the outcome, so it will exist purely for the spectacle. I suppose it beats having them meet over coffee for a chit-chat. But basically that's the only function it can serve - a glorified meeting to have them say a few things to each other, things that probably don't offer a great deal of insight to what we kind of know already surely? Maybe just answer a few fan questions that didn't really need asking in the first place.

That's only true if they dueled over nothing... if it was only a "this planet ain't big enough for the both of us" scenario. If they fight over something, however -- the fate of another character or the possession of a MacGuffin, or whatever -- there would be tension aplenty. A duel over nothing is pretty uninteresting in the first place, but I'm certain the writers will manage to insert some stakes into the show.

Korkie kryze is revealed as satine and Obi wans’s son but he is also an inquisitor that he must fight. Honestly I’ll take him being revealed as their son in any media.

Kenobi is the truest Jedi IMO, so I doubt he would "betray" the Jedi code by having a kid. Furthermore I don't need yet another failed parental figure in Star Wars.

I was mostly joking but in master and apprentice we find out sex isn’t a major offense and they mostly turn a blind eye. Obi Wan knows a Anakin and Padme are hooking up, so does Yoda. They just turn a blind eye to it. They don’t know they’re married. Qui Gon hooked up with someone according to Rael. Obi Isn’t perfect and it would humanize him more and it would be a good explanation to why he says nothing to Anakin. If Korkie was their son it makes perfect sense she would hide him because she knows Obi could be expelled. In Dooku lost a Jedi had a son and hid it. All that above is just me rationalizing my theory. It’s perfectly cool that people don’t want it. Either way I would like to know korkie’s parents. Is he n bo katan’s or is there another sister/brother. Or…..

Obi-Wan is already a failed 'parental' figure of sorts. He failed to be a "father" to Anakin. Anakin needed a father figure. He searched for it in Obi-Wan, but Obi-Wan saw Anakin as a "brother", and a brother is not what Anakin needed. (It's in the dialogue - Anakin describes Obi-Wan as being like a father to him, but Obi-Wan only ever refers to Anakin as being like a brother.)

Qui-Gon would have no doubt fulfilled that much needed role of a father figure, had he survived.

I gotta be honest, if there's a Kenobi/Vader fight I'm done with Star Wars, unless Lucasfilm can perform a miracle. I can't see any outcome here that doesn't completely ruin the original six films.

Maybe inquisitors? There's enough of them to go around. Hopefully not Hunters, I'm bored of them!
