After many viewings of the R1 trailers and TV spots, I of course have many thoughts.

One of the foremost ones is that I absolutely love the aesthetic of Rogue One. From what we've seen so far, it's near perfection in my opinion. The grit and realism is wonderful, and something that we rarely see in today's films (most appear "plastic-ish" to me....if that makes any sense).

I am a HUGE fan of TFA, but I definitely prefer the visual aesthetic of R1 over TFA so far.

    Thoughts?

I really want a series about Rebel troopers, the grunts. They expanded the uniforms and look of that group really well.

Its alright, but I think there's too much "new" or "unseen before" stuff which makes it less compatible with Episode IV canon. ;)

The Star Destroyers and ships look really good....lots of intricate details.

AT-AT's also look fantastic....they really nailed them, both their appearance and they way the move.

Only complaint I have so far is the Death Star....which seems a little too digital, and not like it does in the OT.

If I were to grade....visually 9 out of 10....and I also agree that at least what we've seen thusfar looks superior to TFA.

I've felt the same way about the Death Star....Especially in the above-Jedha shots.

It looks fantastic and I can see the effort to look like ANH in most.of the aspects.

By the way, I love the especial effects in TFA.

I also think that RO looks awesome and those beach scenes are just so cool!
