    No Willow's sequel? :(
    Hope they will include it some day in this schedule. After the brilliant Solo, Howard and Jon Kasdan, who are in early talks, can really pull it of.

    Disney/LFL could still slot 3 additional films inbetween the current schedule, keeping those to non-peak time slots, although I think this is unlikely. It does seem like a long time to way for a second (as-of-yet) unscheduled trilogy, but if they do take their time with this, we can probably expect a very well made and thought-out affair for the second new trilogy. (That's not to say the first new trilogy will be bad, only that more time for the second should benefit both trilogies, I think). Lastly, it is, of course, possible that the three scheduled SW movies are not one trilogy, but rather something like:
    2022 = unknown anthology movie;
    2026 = 1st trilogy episode 1;
    2028 = 2nd trilogy episode 1;
    Although, I do doubt that. My money is on they doing one trilogy first and then the other later :)

    I understand that point of view, but I also feel that the Star Wars creative team got much larger once George Lucas sold the rights to Disney. Lots of talented creative people now felt they could be involved and were excited to work in the Star Wars universe. Disney was very open and excited about it. I feel that Disney felt a little snake bit by Solo and has overreacted. Maybe Star Wars cant support movies every 6 months. Still from 2015 through 2017 we got a movie every December and they all did great. I still feel that Solo problem was mostly poor marketing brought on by the production disruption. Had they moved the film back to December and had a proper marketing campaign it would have done far better.

    I wish they would at least confirm whether the new movies are Episodes 10-12 or something different/new.

    Pretty sure they will not call them that since they are saying that tRoS is the end of the Skywalker Saga. I would imagine WE will call them that, but they'll be Star Wars: Rey Caravan of Courage, Star Wars: Reys Ewok Aventure, Star Wars: Chew finally makes it back for Life Day.

    I don't care when they are made, or who makes them, or what they're about. I just want them to focus on telling good stories that respect the fans, inspires fans to further respect the creators, and re-unites everyone around their love of this fiction. That's really all I care about.

    The divisiveness in recent years has taken almost all the fun out of Star Wars. And I don't give a flying Falcon who "started it" or who is "more" to blame -- at this point we need everyone to put on their big-kid pants and humbly hug it out.

    Nice to hear about that. Just wondering if this is the RJ trilogy.

    We know it’s Benioff and Weiss now, but maybe RJ is working on it with them? That might be a stretch, but you never know.

    Revisiting the schedule and really appears to me that the schedule is really tentative. LFL has set aside really 2 years to plan, plan, plan and get pre-production going on new films. When I say 2 years I mean 2019 through 2020. With B&W 1st film coming December 2022. That means that actual filming wont really start until 2021. Then looking at the overall Disney release schedule put out a couple weeks back all that Disney is willing to commit is that 3 films will start releasing in 2022. That doesnt mean thats it for films over that time. After all if we went with that assumption then Disney is only releasing 6 films from 2023 through 2027. I fully expect to see Star Wars films slated for 2023. 2025 and 2027.
