Damn good story. Enjoyable to watch, tugged at your heart-strings which was good in it's own way.
Someone a lot smarter than me once told me that expectations are just premeditated resentments. Personally, I thought Loki would show up as an agent of the TVA and cause the Multiverse of madness because he's Loki.
Anyone else giggle and say "boner" just before Ralph said it? I have the mind of a 10 year old boy.

Here's where I am with WandaVision.

It's maybe the best thing Marvel Studios has ever done, next to Endgame.

That said, it had one big misstep: the Fietro thing.

Don't want fans to get carried away with theories? Maybe don't end a whole episode with the appearance of a character from the other universe of films you just acquired. The storytellers absolutely intended that moment to create the buzz it created. But it also set false expectations for the series. I don't want to hear people blaming fans for getting carried away with theories; the show invited them to do so.

The show was, and should be, a smaller character-driven story about Wanda's grief. As much as I love Evan Peters as Pietro, his appearance signaled that the show was something it's not.

If they hadn't done this, would fans still get carried away? Sure, but in that case you could look at the show and say, "You had no reason to get so carried away. This was always just a character piece."

But halfway through WandaVision, the show told its viewers, "This is a big reveal, universe-bending sort of show. Stew on that for a week." You can't get mad at fans for taking the show on its own terms.

I might be the only one, but I absolutely LOVE that the stunt casting wound up only being a gag. But I’m also the guy that thought it was fantastic when Luke absently tossed the holy lightsaber over his shoulder like it was a banana peel. So, that’s me.

If I had to point at one thing that this series dropped the ball on, it was probably the Monica storyline. It seemed like she was being positioned as a parallel to Wanda, putting emphasis on her own struggle with loss and intensified by the antagonism with her superior. That kind of went nowhere. The Monica character wanted so desperately to get back to Wanda – to reach her, to help her – in defiance of the controlling Hayward character. But in the end, neither element is really resolved as a result of her involvement. Disappointing.

Loved the ending. Still confused as to what is going on though. It’s a lot to take in.

good call guys, those two questions were the main reason I parachuted into this thread, so glad others are asking the same thing.

mine other critique is how Darcy was a key player in revealing a proportion of the show’s premise, and yet she’s not seen at all in the penultimate episode and only gets a fleeting appearance scene in the final when she crashes the circus truck... felt like we were cheated out of a far better closure for her

Indeed she can and I hope she does - it just felt like she, and Woo were more involved in the overall story and then kinda got sidelined with a quick aside in preference for a CGI slugfest at the end

Darcy was supposed to be involved but due to obvious real world issues, there were scheduling conflicts that kept Kat Dennings from being able to film during that time frame.

Hard agree. The Mandarin twist in Iron Man 3 and now this. People get so salty when this stuff happens but it's hilarious and they straight up tipped their hands at it in the "Agatha All Along" song and people were so desperate for something bigger about it they ignored it.

As someone who wasn't into the MCU when IM3 came out, I didn't think of it as a "twist" when I saw it. I thought the reveal was funny and made sense.

The Mandarin is a blast character tbh. He needs a full overhaul to work today. He was/is a racist caricature and deserved to be taken down a peg.
There are two ways to really handle characters like this.
You do the way IM3 did and take the piss out of it with a Trevor Slattery
    or
You do the Doctor Strange way and just say "The Ancient One is a title and isn't inherently an old stereotype Asian guy but is actually Tilda Swinton"

I think also a part of that is people expecting a one to one Marvel comic adaptation, but told as a movie.

That definitely plays a role. Which kind of blows my mind because by IM3 they really had stopped doing that and never really did outside of broad strokes.

Most impressive! I read through here the other day after watching the finale and gave you a virtual pat on the back.

As one who is not up on the lore of the comics or anything really beyond the Marvel universe movies, what is the significance of White Vision? Does he come about in the same manner in the comics?

This confused me also, I didn't even see him leave. It was a very non-chalant send off. I'm guessing they are leaving it open-ended for a possible return, but if not it won't be too unexpected.

    Thank you.

Something akin to it. I don't remember the exact details, but basically he gets deconstructed and when he gets put back together, he's all emotionless and such. Not unlike Lt. Commander Data, except with super powers.
I think between that and the "normal" Vision's farewell to Wanda that his next return would be as Vision the White. Now that he has all the memories back, and dealing with an identity crisis.

    Hmmmmm...

House of Harkness's title changes to Coven of Chaos... which in turns has now changed to Darkhold Diaries.

Seems obvious that something is going on here intentionally. Not only is this our third series name, but all three have had the same alliterative naming convention... and Darkhold Diaries is an unapologetically stupid name, no way that's real.

My guess is that either House of Harkness is the true series' name, or that we'll see it eventually revealed. Since "A" was skipped, maybe it'll have something to do with "Agatha"?

And assuming "E" is next, I'm putting my money on Eldritch Enchantments.
