Let's say you needed a place where you could reliably go to in order to acquire 20-40 post karma points within a day or so, without much effort or time wasted - where would such a place be?

    Obvious parameters:
    -lots of traffic
-circlejerk mentality (actual circlejerk subs seem to have less traffic though)
    -simple/common subjects

From personal experience, you can have a field day on /r/movies if you go to "new" and try to make a comment on the rising posts that will probably end up on the front page of the subreddit.

Literally the best way to accumulate karma is to have LOTS of comments instead of one or two extraordinary ones. Karma whoring is more effective with a quantity > quality mentality.

They're like the Cantina's ratings, but specifically for Reddit. Basically they're an upvote, a like, a positive point, etc.

Bofore this reply, I was recommended elsewhere to do the same, except with r/politics - stole someone else's popular comment from a top thread and posted it in a new one, got around 250 points within a day!

Hadn't thought of r/movies actually, I was mainly familiar with that sub through r/MCJ - guess I'm not too bright, because based on what I'd seen making a post about Nolan or Kubrick there is rather likely to garner some approval :D

So should I need some points again, I'll probably try that one next...

Yea they're upvotes, except some subreddits require certain amounts of karma points in order to be able to post there - in my case it was around 30, but some backup points can be useful in case you get massively downvoted afterwards, as I tend to do.

Eh, I'll get downvoted to -100 pretty quick as the mob gets angry ;)

Hm, I think I'll post something about the cinematography in Inception being brilliant - we'll see.
