Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
The thing is, I have 350$ PC, so everything runs poorly. However, I found that if you turn all the settings to low, and set your resolution to 800*450, it will actually work at full speed, but just look terrible. And I have never really played a PC game before, so to me it looks wonderful.

 

I'm playing the Call of duty Black Ops Beta and enjoying it. The beta is over tomorrow so I'll be playing Star Wars Squadrons till Cyberpunk is released in November pre-ordered and can't wait to delve deeply into a Blade Runner inspired world. I wish LFL would make an open-world Star Wars game as rich and detailed as Cyberpunk... maybe someday...

 

Persona 5 Update Time!

It's been a minute since I posted my last update, and a lot has happened. I wasn't able to make it as far as I wanted before the November dungeon, but I made up for it before the December dungeon. As it stands, the only social links I haven't maxed out have been: Hanged Man, Sun, and Empress (although I did get her to Rank 2, so I can at least use Baton Pass). Everyone else is looking good! I've also abused the Reaper Glitch three times. I have no real regrets. ...that being said, I would plan it out better next time. I'd use the glitch once on the first Flu Season day in November, do the December dungeon on the first Flu Season day in December, use the Reaper Glitch around two more times the next day, and THEN send the calling card. This time around I went a little harder than I think I should have because I wanted to wipe the floor with that surprise mini-boss battle. Next time I know I'll be fine without having to use the glitch.

As it stands, most of my crew is in the high sixties while I'm in the low seventies. I'm auto-killing/recruiting all of the Persona in the dungeon, and it's actually kind of boring. This isn't too big of a problem, but what does worry me is the money. Battles are the best way to make money, and auto-defeating things doesn't earn you any as far as I know. I'm not hurting for money right now, but for the Persona I want to make before the Final final dungeon (both for gear and for actual use), I'm going to need more resources. I guess I'll be working on the days I'm not working on my social links.

Overall, this run of the game has been really successful! It's not as good as my Persona 5 Royal run, but I think it's about as good as I could have gotten. Next time I update y'all, I'll have hopefully beaten the game! (And maybe I'll beat my Fire Emblem Blue Lions run-through while I'm at it! I've received some good advice on how to build Ferdinand (von Aegir) and Ignatz, and so I'm fiending to try it on a new playthrough.)

 

So...I bought Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Launch Edition, and I don't have a PS5. My brother-in-law is getting a PS5, and it should arrive within two weeks,. He plans on bringing it up for Thanksgiving, and we WILL beat this game. After that, when I get my own PS5, I'll replay both games, along with any DLC that comes out by then.

Right now I'm playing Persona 5 on New Game+. I tried to play Fire Emblem: Three Houses, but I'm still burnt out...
New Game+ is going a lot smoother than my Reaper Glitch run! Having some of the best gear feels a lot less overpowered than actually being overpowered! The gear makes me strong, but I still need to fight the enemies (and get the experience and the money). Once I'm able to turn Persona into weapons, though, things are gonna change, since the stat boosts from some of those endgame weapons are CRAZY good. I'm on the third dungeon and I've already maxed out Ryuji's social link, am ready to do Takemi's Confidant Request, am Rank 5 with the Hanged Man link, and overall am in a better place. I still need to max out Ann's social link, but I'm sure I'll get it soon. My goal is to max out her social link by summer break; an easy goal.

Makoto will be romanced this time. Next time will either be Haru or Chihaya.

Anyways, I'll play a little more of this until Sanderson's new book comes out; after I (ideally) finish the book, my brother-in-law will be in town, and it's Spider-Man time! (I may play some Fire Emblem Awakening in the meantime though.)

 

Turns out my brother-in-law's PS5 won't arrive until AFTER Thanksgiving, which means we have to wait until CHRISTMAS to play Spider-Man: Miles Morales! Sigh...

 

I got a little burnt out on Persona 5 (not surprising), so I finally finished my Blue Lions Fire Emblem playthrough! And for the first time ever, I actually SKIPPED a month of stuff. It was the final month, my team was pretty overleveled, and I really just wanted to start my Golden Deer run, so I skipped ahead. Nearly all of my couples worked out, except for two. Instead of Manuela/Seteth and Flayn/Ferdinand, I got Seteth/Flayn AGAIN. I'll fix that next time though. I'm turning Ferdinand into a Wyvernn Lord, so he can be Flayn's adjucant and keep his support high with her.

I'm not sure what I'll do about Manuela though...

Anyways, I started my Golden Deer run and have already recruited about five students. I maxed out Byleth's sword and authority, and am S-rank with white magic. I put most everything else at B or C rank in order to gain supports. This time around, I'm going to try and max out fists, riding, axes, armor, and white magic (since I'm so close). The rest of my renown went into getting Lysithea to S+ with White Magic and S with Black Magic. I'm going to turn her into a War Priestess this time around, so it'll be fun.

Ha, I'll leave that to my brother-in-law. Dark Souls/Demon Souls/Bloodborne aren't my cup of tea.

 

i have never bought any console, except for switch, but i am tempted too because playstations always get exclusive soulsbourne games. Luckily, i think that they are porting bloodborne to pc with better graphics, after 5 years, so YAY! I'll probably just wait until whenever they port demon souls remastered to pc.

 

The Witcher 3, again

 

So, my brother-in-law and I just finished the main campaign for Spider-Man: Miles Morales. He ended up doing most of the story missions while I did the side-missions, which is exactly what we wanted. (He wanted to beat the game whereas I wanted to see who the side-missions introduced us to.) We'll finish up everything we need in the post-game or NG+, because this game is so short that getting 100% shouldn't be a problem.

My TL;DR about this game is: Unless you're a Spider-Man fan or didn't play the PS4 Spider-Man game, having this as your only PS5 game - or even buying a PS5 for this game exclusively - is a bad choice. Don't get me wrong, this is a great game. The cast is phenomenal, the characters are so human and likeable, and the gameplay is exactly what we all want. But it's so short that I can't entirely justify it to everyone just yet. But if you have a PS5 and are looking for a new game, then yeah, go ahead and get it. You won't regret it. The score is a solid 8 or 8.5/10

I do have one major gripe that Star Wars fans may be able to spot (especially if you know some of my feelings on TROS), but it's a character and story gripe, not a gameplay one.

After this game, I think the big question on everyone's mind is which Spider-hero should get a spin-off next (after Spider-Man 2 of course). I think people are trending towards Spider-Gwen due to her popularity, but honestly I think that would be a bad choice. Peter's history seems to be an amalgamation of the general Peter Parker mythos...and in most of those stories, Gwen Stacy is dead. Sure, one could bring her back to life and state that Peter simply thought she was dead, but I don't think that's a good move on Peter's part either. No, my choice for the next hero would be Cindy Moon aka Silk. Silk could help us explore what it's like to be Asian American in New York while also giving an up-and-coming character the spotlight. Her story would be vastly different from Peter and Miles', and I think that would be appreciated.

My one problem is this is that gameplay with her may be...routine by that point. You see, Peter and Miles have the same core gameplay with a few exceptions. Peter hits far harder than Miles, has more tech, and is far more sturdy. This makes sense, as Peter has been doing this far longer than Miles has. Miles on the other hand has his awesome (and super fun) Venom Shock powers, invisibility, and great finishers. Humorously this made me miss Peter when playing this game, as I had gotten used to all of the tech he came with. Cindy would have to find her own balance, and while that's possible, I'm not sure where it'd be.

There's also the fact that since Cindy is such a new character, she doesn't have the range of costumes needed to fully support her. I've seen people complain that Miles' suit repertoire was too small compared to Peter's (despite the fact that Miles even HAS that man suits to change into, given that he's only nine years old as a character); Cindy is even younger, first appearing in 2014.

There are two other options in a DLC going over the rise of the Underground (and the Tinkerer specifically), or a small, Arkham Asylum/Origins-inspired game with The Prowler as our main hero.

But I'm getting side-tracked. The side-missions in this game are relatively varied and far better than the mission in the PS4 game, as they help you know the community and side-characters more. The gameplay is fun and a solid mix of stealth elements with raw action, as is fitting with Miles' powers. And the story, while nothing new, is told quite well. It's a fun game.

 

I'm really fiending to veg out and play this soon, but I'm torn on who to support. Do I continue my Tharja support game? Do I restart and romance Say'ri instead? Do I try Lucina, so I can make a Morgan that can use Swordfaire, Axefaire, Aether, Galeforce, and...something else? Or do I go with Panne and make Morgan into the ultimate Assassin? (I've done this once, so I don't need to do it again, but I could.) I asked my friend and he said Tharja, but it's so hard to move forward with her for some reason, despite me unironically liking their pairing. And while Say'ri is cool and cute, her sparse supports make her a pretty bland character. Lucina is cool, but I can never fully get over the squick factor. And Panne is a fan-favorite, but she disrupts my headcanon...sigh...

 

I never played Call of Duty until March when Warzone dropped. It's pretty much all I play these days. It's been fun every season.

 

Mr. Robot Season 4, half way in, it's so good that I wish I had more time to watch more than one episode per day.
