AC Revelations - a bit tedious and by far the worst of the Ezio trilogy IMO, but good. Platinum'd the other two but can't be bothered with this one.

I have been playing through the Final Fantasy VII Remake recently and that was really great. Now I'm anxiously waiting for The Last of Us Part 2.

 

Call of Duty:Warzone

 

I have not played the original, so my perspective is a little different, but I loved every minute of it! Gamelpay is really solid, the combat has depth and feels really satisfying (they have a real-time combat system this time, if you didn't know). I think they have said that the remake is exclusive for PS4 for one year, so it might come to Xbox in 2021. I can't speak to how faithfull the story is to the original, but from what I have gathered, there are new things in the remake that change some things about the original, but it's hard to get into without spoiling. I recommend playing it, best game of the year so far for me, and if you played the original, you know that the story is good.

As someone who plays a lot of video games, it's wierd for me to discover all these great characters many years after everyone else, but this has inspired me to go and play the original. It might be worth pointing out that this version of the game is divided into several parts, and the game that is out is only the first part of it (the Midgar section of the original game, extended to 30-40 hours of playtime).

 

Still playing the only game I've really been into the past couple of years, Elite Dangerous. The big Fleet Carrier update came out yesterday but I can't currently afford one unless I sold off my entire fleet, then I wouldn't need a fleet carrier. So I'll just have to be patient and keep carving out a living in the galaxy until I raise the funds. In the meantime I've just been screwing around doing some High G planet landings. Just for giggles I got the cheapest/crappiest ship in the game and somehow managed to land it on a 6 G planet and get it off the surface again.... barely. I've landed on a 10 G planet but it was in a much more powerful ship. I fully expected to meteor into the surface or at least be stranded by the high gravity so even though I didn't plan to keep the little ship I was so proud of it I had to adopt it into the fleet.

 

Haven't properly played in months, maybe even over a year. My mate left me in care of his PS4 and I just got Death Stranding on the mail, so let's see how that goes!
