    Nice!
As a Wolf ofcourse, my loyalties lie with House Stark (obviously!) and my budget only permitted me to buy just the 1...:(
So it just HAD to be this one! :p
(I have a 1ltr bottle of Jameson to satisfy my normal whisk(e)y needs and only take a dram of the GoT every now and then, to treat myself. (I'm planning on stretching it for as long as possible! :D)

    Impressive... most impressive! (dark)
I might try to get either the Oban Nights Watch or the House Targaryen by Cardhu next! ;)
If I can fit it into my budget (and if either one is still available by then...) :)

Just returned from a trip to Alabama/Kentucky. Was able to drink birch beer again! Yum! I'm originally from Massachusetts where birch beer is readily available. Since moving to California it's like it doesn't exist out here.

My understanding of Birch Beer is as follows, it’s basically similar to root beer, that is a carbonated beverage usually pretty sweet and it’s fairly common in the US northeast and parts of Canada. I think the bark from birch trees is a common ingredient.

However, I do believe birch sap from a birch tree is also used to make a fermented beverage. Which in my opinion is more similar to actual beer and I quite like that one. I’ve only ever had it a couple times though.

I believe you're correct. I read about it recently and there was a small difference that made an alcoholic beverage instead of a soft drink. I can't remember what it was but something was fermented instead of boiled or something. I've only had the soft drink. It's similar to root beer. To me, it tastes like a Canada Mints soda.

I like scotch and ginger ale. With ice, but no lime or curl of lemon peel or anything like that. I also like drinking the good stuff - Speyside single malts with a little water.

Beer wise I'm a Guinness guy.. "They say drinking a Guinness is like eating ten slices of bread. But I never woke up naked after ten slices of bread."

p.s. I'm not drinking either of them now because it's only Wednesday.... in the name o' the wee man.

Guinness is my favorite too, but only on tap. Got to have that nitro! Other times I like an IPA or porter.

I like Scotch too, but if I'm having it on ice (which I enjoy) I go for Johnnie Walker. If I'm going for single-malt, I enjoy the peaty Islay varieties like Laphroaig and I take those neat.

Tonight I will be drinking Elijah Craig bourbon. IMO the best cost/quality bourbon out there.

Since I don't live in Ireland, the draught Guinness in cans (with the nitro widget) is often better than the draught in some pubs.

Peaty malts I'm not so keen on but drinkers can always be choosers and I'm happy to choose not being sober over being too precious about it. Whisky's a weird drink like that. Laphroaig is a popular drop with people who like to offer a good whisky to people they know like good whisky. Can't fail them for trying, I suppose.

I know nobody in Scotland who drinks Johnnie Walker except if they get a special gift box edition of it or something. It's definitely one of the brands that are mainly produced here for export. The Famous Grouse, Grants (particularly the ale cask finished one) and Whyte & MacKay are my preferred blends for the old Scotch Buck ( the name I just made of for a whisky and ginger ale.)

That is a really good one. It was a favorite of my old boss. I like Woodford Reserve too, but I enjoy Scotch more than Bourbon.

There's definitely an art to pouring it properly. The cans aren't bad but nothing like a good one from the tap. I like nitro cold brew coffee too. The nitro takes out a lot of the bitterness and I just drink it black. It has a texture like Guinness.

I've had Grants and liked it. It's one of the cheaper blends here. Johnnie Walker costs a tiny bit more, but I like it better than Cutty Sark or J&B. Not crazy about Dewars. There's a lot of single-malts I haven't had, mostly because they are so expensive and I already know the peaty Islay ones are what I like. (Laphroaig, Ardbeg, Lagavulin)

Not really having much of anything right now because I'm trying to lose a few more pounds.

Yeah. Same here. But I broke the seal on a couple of different bottles of malt at the new year that MUST be finished before the year is out. It's the rules.

I really like it - its made in Tennessee, so its unlike a Kentucky Bourbon, which are sometimes too sweet for me. He has a few varieties, and I've only tried the double barrel. It's very intense, as it picks up a lot of flavors from time in two different barrels. It pairs very well with his music - its rich, bold and American. It's not something I drink all the time, but I really enjoy it when I'm up for it.

Well, those look like I need to 'em to my collection! They sound good.

At the moment I've got a bottle of Bushmills that I'm going through.

What happened to it? I have a ton of Tervis glasses and put them on the dishwasher all the time. I think they have a lifetime warranty don’t they?
