Batman.

real Batman. not the michael keaton frank miller ben affleck stuff.

i also like Batman.

 

hahaha ~ i just don't think it's aged well at all and i never did like Jack Nicholson as the Joker.
that whole series was not a very good interpretation of the characters for my tastes.

 

Besides Star Wars, I enjoy the Marvel cinematic Universe - especially the Captain America films. Looking forward to Civil War. Its great seeing most of my fave actors and actresses partaking in the marvel films...it's so wonderful. I hope that continues. I like Lord of the Rings...read the books countless times and same with the Hobbit. I am not too iffy on the Hobbit films...I thought the first movie was on par and then the second one somewhat on par but then after the third, I just, didn't care much about it. As a kid, I watched Power Rangers, Transformers, Batman, SUperman, Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters, pretty much the good stuff when I was growing up. Now that I am in my early thirties, my tastes have changed in most movies and my expectations are different. For example, I didn't mind the first transformer movie but after that, not so much. Same with Ninja turtles...I...didn't like the reboot. the ghostbusters reboot, don't care for it. Now Power Rangers reboot, that I might give it a chance. As for Batman and Superman, I am not really a DC fan. Only character I always like is Batman. Oh and X-Men...loved the original x-men series as films, minus X3. I did like first class...DofP was fine but again, since X3 and X-Men Origins, I...lost interest in X-Men. But who knows, maybe Apocalypse will change my mind like how Star Wars: The Force Awakens did.

I like Soccer...I like reading, Writing, sometimes I like to do concept art on the computer, watching movies, tv...I like coca cola. lol. Pancakes...orange juice. heh. anyway, thats all I am gonna tell you for now.

 

I have a few hobbies.I love to enjoy music from the 80's with my vintage Marantz 2226B Stereophonic receiver with a pair of Bose 301 Serie II Music Monitor speakers.Is a wonderful warm system.Sound just perfect for me.I also enjoy jogging.I have a few medals running 5 and 10K events.Also i enjoy riding my Specialized Mountain Bike.Also have a few medals from running a few events too.And with my age i still ride longboards for fun.I practice land paddling.A GREAT way to have a upper body workout.Below a clip to have a idea what is land paddling....

I love music and have, probably over a thousand albums. 90% of that is heavy metal from the 70's to present day. I still like to buy the physical product too, so no digital hoo-ha in my home! I used to play in bands, but gave it up for work and family. My partner and I go to at least ten gigs a year with the odd festival here and there when we have more than fluff in our wallets!

I like a multitude of sports, mainly football which I play with my son. We also play darts due to my partner being a darts fanatic.

Besides spending all our money on SW stuff, we like to collect Hot Wheels. My son has hundreds that he plays with and I keep the scarce ones on the card for the future.

I LOVE reading. Currently re-reading the Thrawn trilogy; but I read alot of Jesse Bullington, Thomas Paine, Cormac McCarthy and Umberto Eco.

 

Apart from Star Wars I am a huge fan of the 80s be it movies, TV series, cartoons, toys ect. I am also a toy collector and I have too many to count. While I may not have dedicated myself to completely collecting G.I. Joe like you, it is still my largest figure collection after SW. I also collect Masters of the Universe Classics, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers but not every single thing that comes out but just the figures I really like. I like Anime, Star Trek, Monster High, video games, watching movies and reading and the most I love is sharing all these things with my wife who also loves most of these things and has a few collections of her own like Barbie, Mini Lalaloopsie, vintage Strawberry Shortcake, various Disney Princess dolls and Littlest Pet Shop but the cute ones from before and not the crazy freaky ugly ones they are doing now that look like My Little Pony.

Ok, So, for movies: Princess Bride, LOTR, Harry Potter, Back to the Future.... I've recently been leaning more into documentaries and have found those really engaging and satisfying.

MUSIC. I play piano and do a lot of singing. Classically trained in both. And my tastes in music run baroque/classical/romantic. I can get behind standards from the 30's-50's, then some golden oldies, too.

Reading (mostly fantasy, scifi, then business books for sharpening the saw), writing, ('rithmetic, lol), used to do a lot more drawing and painting. Need to pick it back up but just haven't.

Got a family so I guess that should be mentioned, lest I seem like I don't like them.

I'm a Cleveland fan, so I've become detached from watching, but bviously this past basketball season was fun.

And, LOL esports. Team Cloud 9.

 

Video games are my 2nd greatest passion after Star Wars. I played games since I was 3 and enjoyed their competitive aspect very early on as well. When I was 10 or so I've played Dawn of War all the time and even won a major Polish tournament with actual prize money. I am also an ex professional Heroes of the Storm player (used to play for multiple orgs, to name some: Team Alternate, TCM Gaming). Apart from multiplayer games I also appreciate the story element that a well made game can have - titles like Knights of the Old Republic and the Witcher are very precious to me. Right now I plan on undertaking game design studies at a university and my dream is to direct a Star Wars game one day.

 

Harry Potter... mostly the books then the movies. A little bit skeptical with the most recent stuff. (Afraid Rowling gets a little bit Lucas on it lol).

Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not much into the comics, mostly into the movies.

A little bit of DC. Especially Nolan Batman trilogy. (And looking forward to see Suicide Squad).

Game of Thrones. Haven't read the books yet, but love the show. Winter is coming (Especially in Westeros... I mean, US.)

Love historical fiction too, especially England and Spain Middle Ages.

Favorite sport is soccer, then football. Used to play volleyball and basketball when younger. Teams are Real Madrid and Manchester United for soccer and Patriots for football.

 

80's movies (John Hughes especially), Harry Potter (Both books and movies), Marvel (Comics and films), DC (Comics and films as well), Game of Thrones (Books and show), LOTR, and the Hobbit. Dang, a lot of parenthesis.

Really love to game but don't have a lot of time to do it much anymore.

A big hobby of mine is magic. Mostly card tricks and things that require sleight of hand.

 

Awesome! Followed HoTS for a bit, but couldn't keep up with 2 competitive scenes.

I remember being pretty happy that she decided to call it quits after 7 books and said she wouldn't do any more with HP himself. Still true? I haven't tuned into the latest news on that, other than the minor news stories about the play, etc.

 

Was hoping someone had brought this up. Don't need to make my own comment for it now. lol.

I'm all caught up with Game of Thrones. I love Spartacus, the tv show. I am currently watching Arrow...its interesting to see some of the cast from Spartacus on the show. Most notably Katrina Law who plays Nyssa, the daughter of Ra Gul....niiiiiiiiice. It actually brought me back to the reason of why I love the whole Ninja Assassin stuff. Like, Psylocke is an assassin....Elektra. Anyway.... I like hamburgers and Robot Chicken.
