It sounds like, as we all knew it would...SW is going to be a big part of Disney Parks. What are you most hoping for? Personally, I'd love to a life-size Millennium Falcon that you can go into. That would be pretty badass! Secondly, I'd really love to see the Cantina recreated.

Build your own working lightsaber booth, but I don't think they would get approval from government agencies saying it would be okay...

One of the rumors in Florida's original plans for SW was an Endor speeder bike coaster. It was technology developed for a tron light-cycle coaster that never got built in China. The idea is a coaster where the seats push forward so you lean forward and ride head first at a roughly 45 degree angle (as if you are riding a speeder bike). In some rumored plans each "bike" would be surrounded by a 360 degree spherical simulator screen and the ride would combine mild coaster track with simulated imagery. This was scrapped when Disney decided to hold off final planning and wait for TFA concepts to utilize in the new land. But I wouldn't be surprised if the technology gets reused with similar or different theming.

Definitely something I would like to see. Oh, and I second the Cantina.

Wow that sounds intense! Star Tours is a blast but I know Disney could do so much more, especially with more life-size props and experiences. Sounds like a majority of stuff will be ST tho.

I don't know if anybody else saw this but in the old Star Tours gift shop (which looked like a building in tatooine back in 2011, idk about now) you could actually build your own toy lightsaber with different parts to make the hilt look unique to what you wanted it to look like. I never did it but thought it was a cool touch

I have discussed this with my best friend so many times. Here's my wishlist:

Realistic cantina that sells actual alcohol and that's an almost exact replica except with a little more added on for added seating (that's a given)
Star Wars history museum from all trilogies with memorabilia from the movies such as props and original scripts or something
Add star wars to the Great American Movie Ride (which I am certain they will do)
Pod racing Coaster would be pretty badass
I would enjoy either a Tatooine street or a street level coruscant with Dex's Diner in it (similar to Harry Potter at Universal)
A mission space VR game except with the falcon or an x wing
Cloud City would be awesome and doable (maybe moreso than Coruscant)

    My mind is running wild

I hope they have a game simulator for pod racing, my gf wants to race me in one, I guess the Nintendo wii won't do.

It seems many Cantina members ignore the darker corners or this message board and stay only in the hustle and bustle TFA board. Which is shame, because there is a lot of good discussion going on here in the outer rim.

Hello there! Taking my first step into a larger world here with my first post. As a Disney fan,I was VERY excited to hear about Disney buying SW. I have been eagerly following all of the news in regards to the parks, and hanging on every rumor. As with everything, nothing is official until its official, but heres the stuff I've heard about that I'm excited for.

1.Cantina-pretty sure this one is a given. Will it serve alcohol? Well...DHS IS one of the few parks you can currently buy booze in,so...maybe? I'm sure it will be more inspired by the Cantina than an exact replica....they have to have a TON more room, and everyone would go insane if they only played the same two Modal Node songs over and over on a loop.

2.Spinner Ride-also....pretty sure about this one as well. Think a kid-friendly spinner ride like Dumbo or the one with the rockets in Tomorrowland, but with X-Wings and TIE fighters.

    3. Indoor Jedi Training Academy-this one was rumored a LOOOOONG time ago, back before the buyout. Who knows if its still in the works? Apparently the plan was to build an indoor replica of Dagobah at either the SOUNDS DANGEROUS or AMERICAN IDOL buildings. It would be complete with Lukes X-Wing and Animatronic R2's and Yodas to train the kids(and possibly adults). The Jedi Training Academy is one of DHS most popular attractions, but its often cancelled due to the weather. I could see this happening.

4.Streets of Tatooine w/interactive Force elements-When you first walk into the park, the area to the left(currently Echo lake)all the way past Indy and back to Star Tours is rumored to be turned into Tatooine(and the Ewok Village is apparently going to be plussed out as well). There will be areas throughout where you can "use the Force" by waving your Disney Magic Band and make things levitate or doors open....similar to the magic wands in Harry Potter land.

Thats about all the stuff I'm pretty sure of....now for some REALLY out there rumors!

1.Untitled E-Ticket Star Wars ride-OK....first things first. A lot of this depends on money/time/and how big a hit TFA is. But the area to the left front of the park is almost DEFINITELY going to be turned into Tatooine.....BUT....the area BEHIND Star Tours(streets of america into the Backlot area as well)may ALSO become part of SW land. A lot of this has to do with the Marvel/Universal deal...Disney CANNOT use the Marvel characters in the East Coast parks....so that means SW and PIXAR are the only two options for DHS. Pixar is probably going to take up quite a bit of space on the RIGHT side of the park, but the rumors are that all the rest is going to be SW related. I had also heard about the Speeder Bike ride inside the giant dome, and have no idea if that idea is still being used or not BUT.....Jim Hill had a secondhand report of someone seeing a model of a fairly lifesize Death Star as part of the Disney plans.

    2. Lifesize Falcon/Jabbas Palace-There have also been rumors of a lifesize Falcon and a replica of Jabbas Palace. Jabbas palace could be fun.....there could be a video screen in the floor allowing you to stand before Jabba and "see" the Rancor.

3.Star Tours 2.5-not sure if this one is still in the cards, but one of the rumors mentioned adding scenes from the new movies into Star Tours. This seems pretty easy...film a few new things, have Anthony Daniels record a few more lines, there you go.

And of course there will be shops and restaurants and all other manner of SW related swag to get you to spend your $$$. Something I've not yet seen at any Disney parks that could be cool....R2-D2 walk around characters. How cool would it be to just see droids rolling around the park going about their business? I have also heard that the expansion is coming in two parts-Phase one should be done around 2017-2018 and the rest will be done by 2020....depending on Disneys schedule,of course. I'm already saving up......

    Pod Racing Coaster.

    Cantina

Interactive Millenium Falcon Ride where you are in the gun turret while the Falcon flies around having to take out tie fighters and so on.

    Ewok Village Resort

    Stunt extravaganza show

    Robot Rickshaw Rentals

Jabba's Party Barge- restaurant/bar that floats about 30 feet over the streets and "lands" at certain points where people can get on and so forth. Robotronic performances in classic SW style.

I'd love to see a real-life Cantina with actors in costumes or AAs, MF walkthrough with actual sets being used, with photo ops in the cockpit, interactive Lightsabers (much like the interactive wands at Universal) and some E ticket ride based on speeder bike chase, asteroid chase or podrace.
