What are your favourite video games and favourite platform to play them on?

My favorite game of all time is The Last of Us. However, these are my favorite franchises:

1. Silent Hill
2. SSX
3. The Elder Scrolls
4. Grand Theft Auto
5. The Sims

The The Sims series used to be higher on my list, but I've completely lost interest in the series after the third and fourth games which were complete abominations.

 

Honestly? My newest system is a midnight purple 3DS and I barely play even Pokemon X version on it...

Sadly my main consoles are a Wii and a PS2. I really want a Switch and a PS4 badly.

So I mainly play older games. My "newest" purchase being a PS1 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone game. Which isn't too bad, but the graphics are laughable. lol

I mainly want to play the remastered Crash Bandicoot trilogy and any new Zelda or Mario game. Also hoping that this year is the year we get a Spyro the Dragon remake.

 

Favorite game? Final Fantasy VI, easily. However, that's not my favorite franchise. Final Fantasy tends to be a bit... inconsistent in quality. The three franchises that have never let me down are Ace Attorney, Kirby, and Castlevania, and they are constantly competing for my favorite franchise.

As for favorite platform, it would be the Switch. Just wish Final Fantasy VI was on it.

 

Favorite games? Third Age: Total War, Europa Universalis IV, Age of Mythology and the like. I love strategy games. I also have a huge soft spot for Ace Attorney, Katamari, and KotOR.

Aside from strategy games I play lots of RPGs, adventure games, management/tycoon games, and visual novels, with some puzzles and so on thrown in. I'm not a big mp person generally.

I almost exclusively play PC and it's been that way for a few years. Every once in awhile I get out the old PS2 or DS. I would consider buying new consoles but I can't really afford that kind of large up-front cost. PC has plenty anyway.

The Stanley Parable and Orwell are both great. I haven't played the others yet, but aside from Titanfall (which I don't really care about) all of the others sound interesting and I have heard nothing but good things. Grow Home and Undertale are already in my Steam backlog so I should really get around to them.

 

Mine are all Star Wars related.

Grow Home and Undertale are both incredible games. Grow Home is quite possibly the most serene game i've ever played. I went out and got all the collectibles because of how fun it was to traverse the world. And I don't think I need to shill Undertale, but it really is an absolutely wonderful game.

Star Wars The Phantom Menace on PS1.

 

I used to play this game a lot on PS1 too, but the game was horrible. The graphics, the controls, the only good thing that I remember was the Duel of the Fates video..hahha

Did you play Jedi Power Battle for PS1? This game was a lot better. Better graphics and controls, also it was more entertaining.

 

I've split time between PlayStation and PC over the years. For PlayStation I always enjoyed the Kingdom Hearts franchise and loved growing up playing all the Star Wars games on PS2 (Battlefront, Battlefront 2, AotC video game, etc...). PC has always been what I used to play MMORPG games (Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2, SWTOR) and my favorite PC game was KOTOR. I just loved the story and how immersive the game is.

 

No did not play Jedi Power Battle, The Phantom Menace, was first PS1 game I bought but 3rd game we got since we got PS1. Really enjoyed it and never forget playing that game, don't care about graphics. Other Star Wars games I remember playing before PS1 was Rogue Squadron on PC, we used some cheat code to unlock millennium falcon.

 

Unfortunately I never played Rogue Squadron. I used to play Rebel Assault 2, I loved this game.

 

The only consoles I've ever owned came from Nintendo, Sega, and Sony, and I currently own 3 of Sony's 4 Playstations.

As far as my favorite games are concerned, my favorite game of all time is Shadow of the Colossus, but some other games I enjoy are as follows:

I'm pretty much a Playstation guy. I don't play many games, I just tend to play the same few games I love over and over.

Some of my favs right now (all PS4) are Marvel's Spider-Man, BioShock and BioShock Infinite.
Also a huge fan of Braid, which I played on PS3. And Portal/Portal 2, of course--some of the best ever right there.

So basically I love the games everybody loves. Nothing special to see here.
