What character do you think should get a stand alone film?

How DARE they not have Watto in that list! Just think about the grand adventures he would have.

 

While embracing certain aspects of the PT, Disney has managed to mostly stay away from the more..."insensitive" characters from those films.

 

That's depressing. I was SO looking forward to "Watto: Adventures in Junking".

 

Darth Maul would a good option.

 

I would like to see a movie featuring Jabba's renegade Power Droid!

When you are just a gonking box with two feet that only is good for getting plugged in to things and powering them up, you just HAVE to have done something VERY wrong to get your owner to send you to get tortured! What heinous deed or nasty plot did that droid come up with to merit such torture! Did he blow up Jabba's toilet? Did he fall from a high place and land on Jabba's tail and he's the one responsible for the nasty unexplained cut that Jabba has? I smell a prequel movie in the making!!!

 

Then we could have "Dax's Diner" where his roller-blading droid girlfriend is always like "Dax .... KISS MY ROBO-GRITS!" (I know .... most of you won't get that. Hat tip to those who do)

 

"Dax's Diner". It could be the biggest secret in the galaxy! A place where good and evil come to swap knowledge. Not like a Tatooine Cantina, well maybe, but everyone's like on the low down in disguise. To the casual patron there's nothing going on here.

In all seriousness Knights of the Old Republic: A Star Wars Story, but make it into a trilogy not just a one off. I'm not asking for a 1:1 adaption of course but something alone those lines. Especially since Rian's new trilogy won't be going that direction (admittedly it was a stretch that he would) unfortunately.

 

Where's the option for none of the above?

A lot of those characters already have a lot of screen time, and I don't think their stories would really do much to further flesh out and build the new canon universe.

Without a doubt, Snoke is the top of my list for an anthology film, that is, if he isn't making a return in IX.

Plagueis/Palpatine could make for a nice prequel to the prequels.

Rae Sloane, Brendol Hux, Armitage Hux - we need a "First Order: A Star Wars Story" because they really aren't giving us anything in the Saga films.

Thrawn and the Chiss Ascendancy - seriously, what is happening in the Unknown Regions?

Oh, and DJ: A Star Wars Story please... give it a serious Fear and Loathing edge but all the paranoia and weird blast is actually going on!

I can imagine "Watto: Adventures in Slaving" going down really well with the Disney share-holders...

But I wouldn't be opposed to re-visiting Tatooine, as gritty as it is, and I hope there are some darker films to come.

 

Of the characters listed in the poll, I would want to see Obi-Wan and what happened to him prior to A New Hope. Outside of individual characters, I would be interested in seeing something set during the Old Republic.

 

Luke!!! Because I've waited since 1983 to see him on the big screen again in his T-65 and still haven't gotten that!!! Need a side story between ROTJ and TFA on what Luke is doing?

 

Honestly Hamill looked amazing in those flashback scenes. If he was willing to I would loved a Luke and young Ben standalone.

 

Totally agree with all of this. A Snoke movie would make a lot of sense at this point. We deserve a backstory!

 

And they could do a spin-off stand-alone of KOTOR - The Jedi v Madalore.

I'd be interested in all of them except for the Clones. Other characters I'd like to see films or trilogies about are Palpatine, Darth Bane, Quinlin Voss, and Luke.
