What Characters do You want to see in Rebels?

While I think the show has set up that a handful survived, I agree that we shouldn't see them. I think the jedi went from like 10,000 to a few dozen.

Boba is the only one I'd really like to see. If they worked in Han and chewie, I think that would serve to shrink the universe as well. This band of rebels shouldn't meet all the classic ones.

 

I voted for LST because of what I want to believe he's capable of...if he is in Rebels maybe he takes on the responsibility of giving Ezra additional training when Ezra goes to the dark side in order for Ezra to better understand that the force isn't just good/bad.

 

Without spoiling, I’ll simply say Assaj Ventress had all of the loose ends of her story line tied up in a canonical novel, “Dark Disciple”. As such, I don’t think Felloni and company would bring her into the REBELS storyline for a number of very good reasons. That said, I did read a while back that her spaceship, The Banshee, would be making an appearance in one of the episodes… I might have missed it if the episode aired already.


The one character I’d really like to see more of would be Lor San Tekka. Given his age in TFA, it’s entirely plausible that he’d be alive during the time frame of REBELS. Additionally, since he’s not a Force-user, per se, it would be cool to see how those who aren’t able to wield the Force “respect it” (like Maz).

 

I'd like to see corellian Garm Bel Iblis. He was a minor character in the EU, but the ROTS novel makes him cannon. Having him be lead a rebel cell that joins with Mon Mothma and Bail organa would be rad.

 

Ventress joining the rebels could be great.

Lor San Tekka

 

I feel like they've really set LsT to have more backstory told, and so I'm totally in favour of him showing up in Rebels (especially with his connection to force artifacts and where it looks like this season is going.)

Ventress won renown as a bounty hunter, but her life changed when

she teamed up with Quinlan Vos, a maverick Jedi who’d agreed to assassinate Count Dooku. Ventress joined Vos in hopes of destroying Dooku, but grew to love him – he helped her feel love and compassion again. Ventress taught Vos the ways of the dark side, but then rediscovered the light herself, giving her life to prevent Quinlan from being lost to evil.

I certainly wouldn't want to see the number of force-users overdone in 'Rebels' either...

...but as I also did with Ventress, I absolutely relished the perspective that Barris Offee brought to the TCW series— and would be extremely interested to see how her storyline would play out in the new series.

...and Wedge? –Hell yeah. ...An episode introducing X-wings, maybe? That'd be magic.

 

I think with the direction that they are going with Rebels and what we have seen in the trailers and to just add the momentum of TFA. I think they will make Rebels season 3 a good one. I think it's going on the path of the darkside and unknown(a new hope). Characters I would like to see in Season 3 and reasoning behind it. Enjoy!

1. Obi-Wan: I think with the direction of the season 2 trailer I think Ezra turns to the darkside. I know its Disney but I think for SW fans to see a turn of the darkside in Rebels is fitting. Obi-Wan can save the Rebels during their mission on finding a place to start building a base.
2. Senator Organa: He knows about Kanan from season 1 and R2D2 has feeds of them. Senator will task them to start finding a place to build the base. possibly seeking out Obi-Wan to guide "kanan" and the crew.
3. Princess Leia: She finds out about the jedi and heavily relies in KananRebels to also find Obi-Wan during his search of a new place to build.
4. Han Solo/Chewie/Lando: I mean hes a smuggler! Lando was in season 1. just fitting they find one episode helping the rebels transfers goods. Rebels saved the wookies so chewie would agree to help while Han would be force to.
5. Boba Fett: Darth Vader sends bounty hunters to hunt the rebels down while the brothers/sisters manage not to. Good fight scene with Han/Boba or Kanan/Zeb/Boba.

its not on the list, but it would be cool to see some version of starkiller(the character) on rebels, as the new top inquisitor for example. that could be a lot of fun.

 

Barriss Offee and Ahsoka have some unfinished business and it would be nice if that could be resolved before the inevitable will happen. A cameo of Wedge Antilles would work too. In ANH, he seems an experienced Rebel pilot and it would make sense that he is already working for the Rebellion. Not mentioned but similarly possible are Poe's parents: Shara Bey and Kes Dameron. I do not know what Lucasfilm's plans for Lor San Tekka are, but maybe he could make an appearance that would be interesting.

Please no Luke and Obi-Wan. Leave them on Tatooine. Also no Han and Chewie. Having Chewie meet Yoda in ROTS was bad enough. Asajj's story has been completed. Finally, we already have Rex, so we do not need Cody.

 

I don't know if at this stage of the story I would like Luke to meet Kanan and Ezra. If they are alive after the Battle of Yavin, it would be rad if they meet between ANH and ESB. But I am not 100% optimistic about that.

 

IDK how they would be relevant after ANH. I mean when yoda says that Luke is the last jedi then Kanan would have to be gone by then. Ezra, could be another story. Im watching siege at lothal right now and when Kanan says he doesnt like fighting with the rebellion and doing the robin hood things just makes its more likely now he's going to play a big role with them finding a new base and tie in the Rogue 1 movie. at this stage in rebels and how they are bringing in characters i just think Luke would be too much. leaving luke out would be better. given he is the main character in ANH. I like to see Kanan and Ahsoka play a role in rogue 1 and see how rebels ends.

I know, and it's sort of bittersweet since they might not be around anymore by the time Luke appears on scene. Though I want to think the galaxy is huge and they might be still around by the time of the Battle of Yavin, but not formally with the Rebellion. I agree, I don't think having Luke appearing would be really helpful or would make any sense with the continuity - or maybe he would meet the non-Force sensitive crew (Hera, Sabine and Zeb).

With Leia was different since she was part of the Rebellion from the early stages and as Princess of Alderaan - and adoptive daughter of Bail Organa - her role was justified.
