At the time of writing this thread, we are still on episode 3.
Most people seem to love this show. I like it too. However, I have several early complaints which I hope will be resolved in upcoming episodes.
Here are the ten issues that I had with Mandalorian so far:
    1) IG-11 was killed off too soon... will he come back? Dunno.
    2) No Cara Dune yet.
    3) that Ugnaught guy left? He, Cara Dune, and IG-11 were prominently featured on posters, making audiences assume they were in it as much as Mando himself.
    4) Limited Mandalorian backstory about tribes. It looks like we’re not seeing the planet (think: Sabine from Rebels.)
    5) Is he even a Mandalorian? Not sure what kind of “foundling” he is.
    6) dragging on baby yoda’ s mystery. I for one do not like waiting on Star Wars mysteries (Rey’s parents, etc...)
    7) Not really seeing how this is post-ROTJ. A few mentions of “new republic,” stormtroopers in dirty armor, but we’re seeing the same motifs used in most OT films.
    8) that blue alien guy from the first episode.
    9) 30 minute episodes? I feel like I’m getting only half the run time I was expecting. Less time= less content.
    10) Making Star Wars.net said that Tatooine-looking place was not Tatooine. Is this true?

I’m curious to know what you people think could have been improved.

Watch Episode 4 and you'll get your answer for these 2 questions.

They never specified episode lengths. People ASSUMED they were going to be an hour or so longer. TCW, Rebels, The Resistance were all 30 minutes long shows that had great stories. Since when does live action has to be a requirement for hour + long episodes?

It's not Tatooine. The weather and terrain is completely different. This planet showed more rocky than desert. Also the Jawas on Tatooine had yellow eyes, these had red eys. Jawas aren't only native to Tatooine.

We're not going to have all those a answers within the for 3 or 4 episodes. We still have 4 more and 2nd season to get those questions. Just enjoy the ride.

It feels a bit TV quality to me even though I like it. The Mandalorian's adventures/quests seem to be quite superficial and predictable. Some of the acting is a bit stale/amateurish, like some of the villagers on episode 4. The 30 min episodes do feel too short to get any serious plot development. I feel myself trying and hoping to like it more than I actually do if I'm honest.

I think it feels very much like an old Western Tv show but given the lead character that is very good. I think right out of the gate it is captivating and I think the acting and use of extras will improve as the show goes forward. Any great show that lasts gets better with time as the actors get comfortable in the skins of their characters.

The whole world assumed ~60 minute episodes give or take 10 minutes like most streaming live action dramatic series. It is a minor annoyance, creators didnt push back on these assumptions.

My biggest concern is that most of the locals are going to either be outside terrain or most of the more town/city like looking like towns on Tatooine. My concern spreads to ObiWan as well. Think so many locals are going to be like Tatooine buildings with a different shade of concrete.

Well, although the episodes are 30 minutes, which was an initial disappointment to me personally, I'm in...and like the show. I watched TCW and Rebels religiously, but after just a few eopsodes of the new animated series Resistance, I had to hang it up.

It does seem plainly "TV series-ish" (don't ask me what that means), but it is the Star Wars Universe, and I'm hooked.

    Beyond that:

It was said around the time that this series was first mentioned (maybe by Favreau or KK, but I don't recall) that this series wasn't going to have any Jedi, Sith, or lightsabers, etc, etc, BUT we have gotten a glimpse of
    Force-sensitivity and the use thereof
which is something that I didn't ever expect to see, and it made me grin like a kid on Christmas morning, so I'm good with it, because I expect to see that element further play out.

The only thing that I can see "better" is going to be the Obi-Wan mini-series, because I was never really a Fett or Mando "Fan" per se, but I'm still going to watch it and love it.

Yep, and after the very first episode I said EXACTLY the same thing, and frankly I believe it's what Lucas envisioned all along for SW...."space-western serial", and as far as I can see...this is it.

I think my only real dislike for the Mandalorian so far is that it is a TV show. I'm a film guy. I only really started to like rebels and clone wars when I could binge-watch them.

In too many shows it feels like they don't have an adequate story to fill their hours of screen time. It also feels like TV shows spend far too long setting up mysteries and not enough time coming up with satisfying answers to these mysteries.

But this is a personal thing, and to be honest, the Mandalorian hasn't gone overboard with filler so far. Though I am still worrying about what will happen when the show gets around to answering the questions/mysteries it has posed as this is normally when tv shows fall apart.

But so far I'm enjoying the Mandalorian immensely
