SPECULATION What did Obi-Wan tell Owen Lars?

"here, this is luke. anakin's son. anakin was killed by darth vader, a fomer pupil of mine before he turned to E-vel."

 

When the kid is sixteen he is going to set fire to the living room carpet go easy on him!

I think Owen and Lars knew who they were hiding the son of a nasty Jedi, and he could grow up either way good or E-vel, but family is family!

 

Owen and Lars are the same person... first and last name.

 

I hang my head in shame and slowly (as not to be noticed) retreat to the back of the room.

This is the scene where Darth Rex summons one of his minions to bring him the hand of a Skywalker holding a lightsaber. Is that Adam Driver or Oscar?

 

There was a Star Wars comic(graphic novel ) I think Dark Horse put out about 5/6 years ago where Darth Maul lived, came back as a "chicken-cyborg" & tracked down Luke on Tatooine.
Obi-Wan/Ben intervened & dealt with Maul but at the end Owen told Obi-Wan to leave & never contact Luke again.

Obi-Wan stayed on Tatooine to protect & watch over Luke but was not a huge part of his young life.

 

Kind of OT but Wouldn't Shmi's tombstone still be right next to where Luke stares at the binary sunset? And Owen would have remembered C3PO when he showed up in A New Hope, don't you think?

 

3PO isn't covered with the shiney gold plate stuff so Owen may have missed it.
He also probably sees dozens of different droids all the time(Jawas, other farmers, drifters, "help" etc).

I'm sure Obi-wan told Owen the same point-of-view tale he told Luke later on. Vader betrayed and murdered Anakin.

 

Anakin's basic scariness was no secret to Owen Lars, because of his little massacre of the sand people village after the death of Shmi. Keep in mind that the Larses were so laid back that they not only allowed Shmi to continue being held and tortured, they didn't even go with Anakin when he went to rescue her, in spite of her having been first owned by, then freed, then married to Cliegg Lars. When Anakin came back bearing Shmi's body, they had to know something bad had gone down. In other words, if Obiwan had delivered his line about Luke's father being Anakin, who was murdered by Darth Vader, they would likely have said, "You mean Anakin didn't murder Darth Vader first?!" Just sayin'!

 

Despite the position he was in to raise Luke, he cared enough to try to protect Luke because he knew he may slowly go in the direction of his father. I would like to know, how involved was Obi-Wan in Luke's child-hood. Did he try be there for him, and eventually Owen told him to back off and not try to train him, since it could only cause more trouble. Or was Obi-Wan's isolation by choice so that Luke's presence would be less noticeable if he wasn't trained early as a Jedi?

 

Well, I think he told him that Anakin is dead. I think that Obi-wan actually was telling Luke a truth in A New Hope.
Obi-wan, a respected Jedi and hero of the Clone Wars, who stood for what is right.
His apprentice a great friend and ally in the Clone Wars choose side of the evil and even denounced their friendship.
Took the worst way possible and destroyed everything they fought for, completely forsaking it.
I think that Anakin really died for Obi-wan in the moment he became Darth Vader and they fought on Mustafar.
It won't have any merit telling Luke at that time, that his father is alive, because he won't find the Anakin that existed before
the Empire - more so, will do something reckless.

What he told to Lars? ''I will be watching my friend! One slightest harm or misdeed and I am here all blazing fiddlestick!''
