    Two theories.

    1. We've had a circle, we've had a rectangle, so you know what's next. That's right it's a parabola, baby!

    2. R2D2 mounted in place of the radar dish. When the Falcon needs to send or receive signals, R2 reveals his own mini-dish.

    First post here, so bear with me.

    When I'm asked, or read discussions, about my favourite character in Star Wars, I usually come up with either Han or Chewie or Luke (mostly Han). But something that has been hidden away for so long, deep down, is my absolute love of the Falcon. It is the unsung hero for me. My favourite ever present was the Falcon, one Christmas back in the 80s.

    The ST has used the Falcon superbly, IMO. The way it was introduced in TFA: fantastic. The music in Solo when Han first saw it: magnificent. And then in TLJ when it took out the TIEs and Kylo screamed "Blow that piece of junk OUT OF THE SKY!", I cheered, got goosebumps, teary-eyed, the works (and got a few quizzical looks).

    Anyway, I digress. I think it'll have the same dish as in TFA/TLJ.

    If they use "the same dish" then that's just lazy. I'd rather the MF have no dish then the same.

    Well, looks like it will be round again, similar to the original trilogy. One of the least voted options.

    Maybe it's just my imagination, but the dish looks more like a semicircle to me. You can see the hyperspace background through the bottom of the dish, which you can't on the OT one. Not a massive change if true, but interesting to note.
