What do we know about why we knew what we knew

Maybe Lucasfilm just manage to put our focus completly on speculating who Reys parents are and if Kylo can be redeemed so we aren't interested in concept art and set photos at all

 

i think they definitely plugged a few holes, and have done a better job of keeping prying eyes away from the sets.

we have some Ach-to images and tidbits from the dubrovnik set.. but it doesn't feel like as much as we had for TFA.

for a while i believed that LF had kidnapped @Viral Hide and Jason Ward from MSW to keep both sites quiet... but MSW seems to be picking up bits n pieces suddenly.

 

I think they are doing a much better job keeping things under wraps. I am sure there are still people trying just as hard to get leaked info for TLJ as they did for TFA, but the leaks are much fewer.

Personally, I am really glad that they are. I really want to be as unspoiled as possible, but I admit that sometimes I am weak and read the rumors and such. How strong can you expect a guy to be? Also, after hearing a lot of "leaks" about TFA that turned out to be really off base, it is much easier this time to not pay attention to the leaks and just assume they are hogwash.

 

Essentially it came down to one big issue. Crew being fired after the production halt started. The best we can tell, when TFA production stopped, they fired a lot of workers. While they were leaving, they bascially decided to pick up a lot of documents and leak them.

Now that's not to say every leak and bit of info came from that period. However we can probably assume a lot came from that period.

 

I hope they will keep the good job about leaked stuff. Rogue One was an excellent experience going almost completed.blind to the theathers. The aparitions of Leia and Tarkin and the Vader scene at the end of the movie was pure surprise.

 

Some of the leaks were probably intentional, but since they have actual completed movies to draw attention now they don't need to do that as much. Also, a lot of things that would have been leaks for TFA aren't for TLJ. We don't need leaks to tell us who the characters are, what the setting is, and who is on what side. Finding out the Adam Driver is Leia' s son in TLJ isn't exactly a big spoiler.

But they have also tightened things up. No question.
