What do you expect to see in the main scene featuring darth vader ?

I think he shows up as the dust is settling, chokes Krennic, reports to the Emperor, then boards his ship. The end.

 

I expect him to kill weak people, unarmed civils, his own crew.

As always ...

 

I know rumors abound about Vader wrecking a Rebel camp, and I would welcome something like that, but I haven't been expecting much, if any, lightsaber usage from him. I'm expecting mostly conversations, and maybe having him choke Krennic to death for failure at the end of the movie.

 

I agree. I would love to see him efficiently, skillfully, and effortlessly take care of a large number of Rebels

 

According to rumors, this was indeed what Vader did....but then Disney executives felt his on-screen time was too hardcore (like how in the wild blue f**ck this could possibly be interpreted as a bad thing, but whatever..) and had to protect the fragile minds of the younglings from excessive violence (nevermind the fact that they're already exposed to violence 24/7)....so they dramatically watered down the scene.

So if the rumors are true, we will either not see this scene or will see it, but with it's balls chopped off. Ain't mega-corporation Disney great?

 

Can we have a "yawn" rating? I feel like this guy has made it necessary.

Anyway, I expect to see bodies. Many, many bodies.

 

I keep picturing everyone losing their blast. Jyn running for dear life, carrying the Deathstar plans, and many soldiers getting iced while Vader follows. I want to see FEAR in the eyes of the Rebels when they realize that the Grim Reaper just showed up.

 

Atmosphere, smooth style and a very small number of cases of power display, albeit enough to inspire fear.

In other words, I don't want bodies left and right; the bombs can handle the faceless Red Shirts of the Rebels.

I want specific victims. Imagine if Vader is the one who brings badass Chirrut to his death using the Force. Or his old comrade, Saw. Only one or two deaths yes, but enough to showcase what Vader truly is: a dark lord of the Sith.

 

Force choking Orson, that's what I expect for sure.

 

I think the only time we'll see him is at the end. A petty officer runs up to him and declares that the rebel plans have been stolen and they think they've been taken aboard Tantive IV as he's holding a scroll of orders from the Emperor to retrieve them.

 

Well, I'd LOVE to see Vader in all his evil glory like in the "Vader Down" story line of the resent Star Wars and Darth Vader Marvel Comics. Vader was brutal on the battle field when the Rebels were trying to kill him. Some gruesome stuff that would look COOL on the big screen. I'd be happy to have Rogue One be R rated just to have this Vader violence in it. I don't think Disney could go wrong with an R rated Star Wars spinoff. However, we know Disney won't ever go that dark. It might warp the little princess's minds.

 

Plain and simple, i want to see Vader slice and dice some Rebels.

 

I'd like to see Vader Force choke a platoon all at once and maybe force toss an ATAT at another. I would like to see him take a U-Wing down with a Saber toss. Lastly, I would like to see him halt in flight, then explode, a pair of torpedoes fired by a B-Wing. Force pull it from the sky, walk over, yank the pilot out of the cockpit and throw him into the flight path of some other rebel fighter..

That would finally be the display of Force power expected from the chosen one. Would make all that even more sweet if it is all witness by the Grinning Emperor.

 

Of course. And then he gets an offer from Mr. Stark to join his team.

Dude. Too much. The Force doesn't make you Superman.

 

While it can let you do that, it's just too ridiculous for a Star Wars film. That stuff is best left to the books and comics.
