I would like to see another hologram meeting between Sidious & Vader while he is looking at the death star plans.

Vader could choke and kill Superman even next to Sol.

I expect him to do less in terms of violence than he did in ANH. I think it would be good for maintaining continuity and character development. Also, I want to see everyone fear him so much that he doesn't have to blast anyone. That, for me, would be more striking.
(I think I'm probably disregarding the prequels when I say this.)

If you're referring to being capable of visualising more without the limits of technology and budget, then yes.

Pretty sure I read that they created two stunt costumes for Vader, this at least implies that we will get to see him doing more than force chocking someone on a starship bridge.

I'd like to see him as an off screen presence for the most part. The characters know he is out there, they are at least half-expecting to see him, and when he does make an appearance two core characters get taken apart and the rest run.

Oh man... Like what if things are going rather well while they are on the Death Star or something, then turn a corner and literally run right into Vader.

I seriously am expecting massive audience cheers when Vader shows up onscreen at last. I know there'll be one from me.

Same here. But will they be deserved? Or will there be cheers simply because he's shown onscreen....

This isn't his movie, so I'm not expecting a whole lot. Which is what I'm hoping for to be honest. No CGI cartoon super battle stunts. That's not what the character is about. Vader is a presence, not an action (anti) hero. He's arguably the greatest villain to grace the silver screen and got to that point because the direction the character was taken. If you do anything different, you run the risk of tainting that legacy.

For example, look at Episode IV. His entrance establishes his character perfectly without him having to do anything at all. It's more atmospheric than anything. You instantly understand that he's a force (ba dum tsh) to be reckoned with. Being "on edge" with the character is what creates that fear. And when he does take action, it's cool and calculating. You know, like causally choking a co-woker during a staff meeting until your boss tells you to knock it off.

That's why Vader works. So in Rogue one, he ought to be somewhere along those lines or else it will be out of place. He needs to be the proverbial boogey man.

Frankly, I expect only one major scene for Vader. Before he appears, it will all be hearsay among the Imperials, maybe a holo-call or simply his arrival on the Death Star, just so we know he is there (That Krennic's pissed off shot in the trailer is interesting, maybe Vader has a few choice words for him). But, when Krennic inevitably screws up, I can see him Force-choking the guy and then going after Rebels themselves - close quarter combat, solely with the Force, lightsaber just as final move through someone's chest (like he did Cylo in - in the latest comic issue). He has to loom large over both the Imperials and the Rebels and demonstrate his power only once in a big way, for the greatest impact and not to completely diminish Krennic's role.

The movie should start with a view of shiney mirror like blackness, then vader breathing and back away slightly seing the back of Vader head sitting idle, quietly in space, in his Tie Fighter watching over the Death Star being constructed in the distance, then quickly switch too a space battle between Rebel and Empire fighters.

Sort of a "Jedi" meditation moment, where it might almost seem Anakin sitting there.

I think that right before we see Vader for the first time we see Grand Moff Tarkin. Or maybe Tarkin with Krennic and then Vader makes his way into the scene. I think we'll see both of them together at some point and maybe the only time since I doubt Vader's going to have more than minimum screen time

From the new Pyramid International catalogue, it seems that Vader will talk business. I expect him to make his point to clear!

He also has a bit of a hologram glow there. Like a hybrid of a hologram and the real thing, probably done that way for marketing, otherwise some dum-dums would think he was a Force ghost in this film when they see these products.

I suspect that Vader will have a small, but prominent role in the film . . . as a way to bridge this movie to "A New Hope".

    My vote would be Palpatine.

Vader is $$. Be hard to use him in Future set movies. I would cash him in on these prequel Stories.
You cannot really ever out Vader, Vader.
