What do you expect to see in the main scene featuring darth vader ?

Agreed the bothans won't get the famous quote about them early yet, we have new heroes to look forward to.

 

Maybe in A Rogue TWO Sequel .

 

I'm thinking Vaders main things to do will be killing all the main characters of this movie and then chasing the Tantive 4.

 

I still don't think that they would have us invest so much inot these characters only to kill them off within one movie .

 

This is what made me think it. I was reading the old Marvel addaption of Star Wars last night.
Vaders dialog is slightly different in this panel. Leads me to believe they're all dead.
Of course, this isn't necessarily canon....But it WAS reprinted in at the end of Shattered Empire, a new canon comic.


I thought it was interesting at least.

 

I expect to see Vader's helmet lenses glow green when the death star fires.

 

It is interesting but I think it's considered Legends now. I don't think LF would do a holiday release where all the main characters died, especially since SW lives and dies on repeat viewings. Same with Disney. Vader's probably going to force choke a few Imperial officers and maybe duel Chirrut but they can't get too dark for a movie that has it's own sticker book.

 

Haha! That's a perfect way of putting! Yeah you're probably right. Perhaps Vader lets some of them go on purpose to lead him to some Rebel leadership (a la his plan to follow the Falcon to the Rebel base in ANH).

 

We know there will be no sequel anyway (hence the term, standalone movie), so they might as well have Vader take them out. Personally I dont think all of the heros will be taken out, but a few main characters will.

 

I think that a lot of them will die... A few reasons for this:

1) It's a standalone film - this story will have a beginning, middle, and an end - so I'd expect to have a lot of loose-ends answered by the end of the film.

2) These characters aren't in any other films as we know of.

3) If Vader does kill off at least most of the team; it shows us Vader in his prime... a villain to be truly feared.

4) As per the international (published in Russia so far) poster the film is suggested 12+ (I believe that's PG-13 in the U.S. - correct me if I'm wrong). I'd imagine this might imply that people will be dying up close and personal; most likely in the hands of Vader.

In Star Wars Celebration Rogue One Panel the actor that plays Baze leaked that Chirrut Imwe dies in Rogue One. I'd imagine this will be at the hands of Darth Vader. This is almost certain. On the YouTube version of the panel; the comment is also edited out which implies that it's most likely a spoiler. Source: I was there live.

 

Yes. Thats what I wanna see from Darth Vader in Rogue One. If we wanna se him stand around talking, we can watch the OT.. This one should show him as a merciless killer, nothing less I would say.

 

I hope Vader chokes another imperial officer in this one, expect failures in this movie to give him a reason to.

 

Well, yeah, a lot of tnem would sacrifice or whatever but not all of them will die...and I partially think it has to do with the merchandising but also to continue the stories of such popular characters potentially..

 

Personally I'm not interested in seeing other stories of either of those characters. I would much rather that Lucasfilm used their money time and efforts of creating stories for other characters, or maybe some old EU stuff.
Lets begin with the third spinoff as an Obi Wan Kenobi spinoff set between Rots and Anh and take it from there.

I agree with you. I expect to see him cut down some rebels. No problem with dialouges at all but he should get some action to. They didnt have to put Vader in Rogue One, but now that they did dont have him just stand around like a braindaed zombie and do nothing but dialouge. have him confront the rebels in a fight scene like the fans want to see. If they dont it will be a wasted opportunity.

 

That was my super early prediction. As soon as I heard Vader was in this I knew for certain he's the one responsible for Krennic not being in ANH. Failure Force Choke

 

It would be cool for krennic to die dishonorably through a view monitor with Vader on board of the death star .

 

I think it's a certainty that Vader will destroy Krennic. It will be out of his character if he doesn't. Krennic will fail to retrieve the stolen plans and Vader will deal with him.
