Your list is impeccable. I agree with it wholeheartedly. I too love Vader’s March into the Jedi Temple with legions and the love story between Ani and Padme is a guilty fav of mine. :D

Well said! GL expanded our horizons and introduced us to characters and worlds we now love.

Yes! And I love how he played with the limits of what technology could do at the time! There are some true gold nuggets in the prequels. :)

The thing that the PT does for me is that it makes the Saga so much bigger in terms of scope and adds layers to the story. The PT has its flaws but the macro story is worth it as the OT and ST are more intimate/smaller scale stories.

The set designs and scenery is beautiful, in particular Naboo and it's underwater world Otoh Gunga. Tatooine, Kamino, Utapau, Coruscant and Mustafar were nice as well.

Seeing a live-action General Grievous, Darth Maul and Count Dooku is one of my favorite things about the prequels.

    The soundtrack is breath-taking.

We get to see the origins of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi, the clones, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and in a way, Sheev Palpatine.

We get to see how the Empire rises in power, the climax being Order 66.

    I liked:
-A good level of technology. It really looks like we are in the future.
-I liked the planets. Naboo, Coruscant, Camino, Tatooine, Kashyyyk.
-Great battles, like Coruscant, Kashyyyk and Naboo.
-Beautiful, powerful and charismatic characters (except Jar Jar Binks).

Here are a few of my points that I like about the prequels:

    -Good acting performance.

    -Good special effects.

-Great world building. There were some wonderful planets.

-There are also some good characters. Like Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn.

-Much better lightsaber fights than in the original trilogy.

    Nevertheless the prequels sucks.

I came here after reading this:

    https://slate.com/human-interest/2015/05/star-wars-why-does-everyone-hate-the-prequels.html

The writer is actually kvetching about the films politics. I actually think much of the best of the film are the points listed below.

The world building and the politics was what made the film for me. What ruined the PT for me was the romance and Hayden Christiensen as Anakin, the childish behaviour just ruined it for me. I really did like TPM. And I think that it was the poor reception why I don't think that LF and subsequently Disney decided to go further in that direction. Which I find a shame, because I find that there was so much to be mined.
