Completely agree with @Josh. I say the shame is due to these people who consider the cashier of the supermarket responsible for prices, or cops responsible for the law.

    1) Obi- wan's story arch
    2) the lightsaber battles were EPIC (Darth Maul)
    3) I enjoyed the clone troopers and the birth of the republic army
    4) Watching the rise of Palpatine and the fall of the Republic - seeing how he manipulated everything and everyone around him so masterfully was maddening but very well done
    5) Podracing in TPM
    6) Almost all of Episode 3 - takes me on an emotional rollercoaster every time.

Overall, the music is my favorite part through all three films.
And Ewan's performance of some rough dialogue.

I really enjoyed how the trilogy exposed the anger, fear, complacency and other flaws of the galaxy's citizens, politicians and the Jedi and how Palpatine's exploitation of these flaws gave him the opportunity to usher in tyranny into the galaxy itself. It's a great reflection of the many societies today. The actions of the main characters are great examples of how we're all our own worst enemies. Even Palpatine got into the act. Through his manipulation of Anakin, he managed to set in motion his own doom.

Yes, and also all that worlds that probably required a lot of design work to only briefly appear on screen when Order 66 is given : Felucia (Aayla death scene), Cato Neimodia (Plo Koon death scene), Mygeeto (Ki Adi Mundi death scene)...

So I also love some of the point you raised. (I think Ewan is great, but he's completely wasted)

The thing I love the most about the PT (sorry, fans of the PT) I love how bad they are. I truly think they're terrible, rubbish films. I many, many ways. There are some elements that shine, but they're buried deep within the eternally dark pit of a sarlac. Don't get me wrong, I admire the extensive hard work that was put into this film in all of it's regards (except the writing) but when I watch them I think they're bad. Not offensively bad, just comically so.

I haven't seen the PT in about two years (although, like 99% of you, I've seen them countless times) and I'll be chronologically marathoning the entire series soon, and be making videos on them. So my opinions might have changed a little over time. We'll see.

The OT is an excellent fairy tale. It was fun, pulpy, and emotional at times (Han and Leia and Vader's redemption). It did everything it needed to do to create a universe. I think I'll always hold the OT a bit more dear to my heart for nostalgia reasons.

But the reason I really came around on the PT is that it turned Star Wars into a mythology from that original fairy tale. All of these ideas from Joseph Campbell being incorporated blew up the universe, made SW the "modern American myth" that it really is. The PT gave us all the grand questions that the ST is now going to answer.

Being able to watch the whole process of a young Anakin turning to the dark side and becoming Darth Vader is my favourite aspect of the prequels.

    All Of It.
The same thing I enjoy about the OT and what we've been told so far of the ST

Uhmmm. I'd say Obi-wan Kenobi. He didn't have too many bad lines, with exeption to only a Sith deals in absolutes, which would make him a sith himself by saying that. But anyway, he had great fight scenes in all of the movies. You saw him mature, even though the story was about Anakin, you saw Kenobi develop.
